Pros:

The toilet was dirty when we entered the room. I had to clean it myself. I was a bit disappointed. There were bugs in my room as well which made my family a little uncomfortable. I expressed my concerns to the front desk.

Cons:

The dirty toilet and bugs.

Pros:

The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The HVAC system is very loud and obnoxious. Also, the price for one night was pretty steep. I should have asked for an AARP discount.

It was worth it!
Pros:

New, clean, great staff. One of the nicest / modern places.

Cons:

The breakfast wasn’t what I normally have had at other places. Maybe it was the day but it would have been nice to have more of a selection such as pastries, muffins, proteins.

Best Place Ever! Every Hotel Should Model this Site ...
Pros:

Traveling back to South Dakota from Washington, I opted to stay in Billings, Montana ... being a fan of LaQuinta, I stayed at this site along I90. This is a GREAT site! Not only did the facility appear to be new and offered some wonderful up-to-date amenities, their staff impressed me with a security issue.

Long story short, but I checked in online and by accident, I used an old driver's license photograph. Upon arrival to the hotel for checking in, the young lady asked me for another government-issued ID. I asked her why ... and she politely stated that my online ID did not match the name on my credit card used online. For my safety, and of course for the hotel's financial process, she had an obligation to double-check "me" before allowing me access to a room. NICE job to the hotel team!

This is not normally the case ... as I have witnessed all kinds of issues over the years with young staff not doing their jobs thoroughly and/or not acting like they care about IDs, credit cards, visitor feedback, etc. Yes ... I am picking on the younger generation, which is not necessarily fair. But good or bad, this is one of the first times where I actually witnessed someone doing what they were trained to do.

As for the room ... beautiful, and I was upgraded without asking! The breakfast was wonderful, and the area was clean. The Cracker Barrell next door provided a great dinner the night before ... and the parking lot was well maintained, and the landscaping looked like it was also being addressed.

This is my expectation at every hotel, regardless of the staff, salaries, age of facility, etc. For travelers like me, professionalism is a must to earn 5 stars. And this Billings site really made me proud!
