Good value for a quick stop over
Pros:

Staff were friendly and free breakfast was great. The room was tidy.

Cons:

The bed kept coming apart while sleeping and we tried to fix it by remaking it. As we remade it, we found the quilt was ripped and stained.

The shower didn't really get hot enough at all, even tried at different times of the day.

There was lots of outside noise, thin walls.

Not worth it.
Pros:

Breakfast is a scam, they literally had egg, break and bacon for everyday and some cereals, there was no fruits and service was really poor.

Cons:

Nothing - bedroom was smelly bad, the staff were rude, noone on reception, I waited 1 hour during the night while checking in. Service was reallly bad. I have never experienced such in my life, I was scared to even ask something to them.

Value for money.
Pros:

It was conveniently located in the heart of the city. The staff and owners were very friendly and accommodating.

I liked my room. it was spacious. Though housekeeping was not available everyday, I still had a comfortable stay.

Cons:

Breakfast was mediocre. Stayed for 2 weeks, they never changed or at least added a new dish in the menu.

Fawlty Towers experience included
Pros:

Good location close to Skybus depot and central trams
Comfortable and clean and good breakfast

Cons:

The reception we received from the owners… two scruffy men who were very rude, hostile and unhelpful generally… was like a Fawlty Towers experience but with two Basils!

Budget friendly and convenient
Pros:

The location is excellent, and the accommodation offers great value. We particularly appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the cleanliness of the premises. Its convenience, with numerous restaurants nearby and proximity to all attractions, was a significant plus. We would certainly consider booking here again on our next visit to Melbourne, as it exceeded our expectations.

Cons:

There was nothing really to point out. The receptionist was not available upon our arrival, which resulted in a brief waiting period. This establishment is a family-operated hotel, and in an effort to maintain low overheads and affordability, Paul and his son are dedicated to preserving its family ownership.
