Well-located hotel with great staff but disappointing room design and amenities
Pros:

The location and the ambience were great I want to especially recognize Luke, the valet, who went above and beyond to assist us with parking our car and with our luggage. The folks at the front desk were also very helpful. The room was clean and nicely furnished.

Cons:

The lighting in the room was subpar, and there was a broken light fixture above the desk. A very nice gentleman from engineering was not able to fix it without ordering parts, which was no fault of his. He made a valiant effort. More importantly, there were not proper outlets next to the bed for our cell phone chargers, and our chargers kept falling out of the lighting sockets which seemed unsafe. Also, it was impossible to control the thermostat properly to make the temperature in the room comfortable. The bathroom shower was weak, there was no rail for safety and there were not enough towel hooks.

There are probably better places to stay in Richmond
Pros:

Room is fine location is good - parking absolutely outrageous and frustrating as it is contracted with an outside company and so the hotel takes no responsibility.
Breakfast was awful.

Perfect stop
Pros:

Stayed here on our way to Myrtle Beach. Extremely clean, comfortable beds and great staff. Plenty of places to eat in the area. The perfect stop in Richmond .

This might be the best service I’ve experienced
Pros:

This was my first time at this hotel, I did valet service and I think the valet guys name was Arkeem, he was very pleasant, efficient and I actually felt like he cared about my car. I’ve been to several other hotels in the downtown Richmond area and this one had to be the nicest! Thanks for a great stay!
