Bed was a little uncomfortable, some dishes weren’t fully cleaned.
lot of room
liked everything
Manager was very nice and accommodating especially since Bookings.com put me in a bed dilemma. They were overbooked and Ronda made us as comfortable as possible.
The town of Carrolton is very small. The nearest Walmart is 45 minutes away. The do have a Dollar General Market across from the hotel that is open until midnight daily which did help to get food stuffs and other items. The are not any chain sit down restaurants in the town outside of a Pizza Hut. There are a few fast food restaurants. This may not be a problem for some staying in this area, but understand it is rural and far from an established larger town with more chain stores and restaurants.
The hotel is very dated. The Wifi had issues the entire time we were there. The general manager told us that the hotel is dealing with a contract issue with the internet company. The room was ok meaning it was clean enough to stay in without bed bugs and mold. There were grease hand stains on the curtains. The rug was visibly ground down after years of dirt and needs to be steam cleaned or removed. I did not walk on the rug without shoes for the entire stay. The TV was very small for a suite type room. The kitchen area was nice to have, but I would not have used any of the cups, utensils, or dishware due to the overall years of the hotel rooms not being deep cleaned. The staff was very kind and did provide us with towels when needed. Our room was never serviced, we stayed for 4 nights. There wasn't a garbage pail in the bathroom, but I was given one when I asked at the front desk. They do have a 24 hour coffee machine in a little hotel store in the lobby with a variety of creamers and syrups. There is a nice pool area and an outdoor picnic area, but it was too rainy and cold to use the pool.
The location was great. The staff was friendly. The rooms were big, and got cold.
It smelled terrible. The plumbing SUCKED. The refrigerator froze EVERYTHING even on the recommended setting. The pool was DIRTY and the grills, grill but are hanging by a thread! Oh and the bed HARD AS A ROCK.
Lovely accommodations, but the ice maker in our room didn’t work
The room was spacious and clean. Plenty of parking. Bed was comfortable.
The internet didn't work for the first 3 days at all. After that it was still very sketchy. The ice maker in my room didn't work. There was no breakfast included. When I needed to do laundry, there were no machines available and at least one was out of order.
super clean and friendly
nothing
Did not receive room reserved. Sheets smelled dirty as if not washed. No WiFi connection. TV channels were hit and miss.
Location was nice
Bed was like sleeping on a rock hard as a rock ...and the room smelled like dirty feet
Clean, nice budget hotel. But whatever the company is paying Rhonda, the front desk manager, is not enough. She is fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, knows all her regulars, but friendly to new guests as well. I needed to ice an injury I have, and she called her daughter to bring a bag of ice for me from her home. Sometimes it seems people forget customer service, but she is the epitome of it. Thanks Rhonda - and thanks Rhonda's daughter!
Close to the family we were visiting. Had some nice things in the room.
Was loud with the trucks going down road. The heater was very loud and woke up up each time it turned on. No kleenex in room.
I left before breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful.
