Went for the semi buffet and absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. It was such a lovely experience, and I’d definitely recommend it!
The buffet dinner Passport series is a good experience to have a nice selection of delicious food.
For one night each month GPH has a special menu from a particular quisine. From Japan, to Italy and almost everything inbetween, the food is well made and brings together flavours that have a hint of Fiji style cooking to them.
The ambience of GPH is more calm and closer to a fine dining setting, compared to other restaurants in Fiji. A nice outing for friends and family.
The highlight of our experiences have been the BBQ by Chef Sharon. She carefully grills the meat so that it's tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The miso marinated lamb on Korea night was particularly delicious. There's always something to look forward to on the grill.
While the food and selection is good, it could be better by including more dishes that each quisine is known for eg. Deokbeokki for Korea night. The flavours are more safe and aren't usually seasoned to the extent of the original dishes. Also, by including a drink station it would add to the immersiveness. With the current set up, drinks are made to order from their existing restaurant menu.
All in all, would definitely reccomend GPH buffet dinners or any of their special menu events.
Just the best place. My third
Time here. Amazing historic lovely building, incredible staff and just a one off. If you are in Suva, no better place to stay. I travel the world but this hotel is one of my favs.
Had a really great first experience with GPH and thoroughly enjoyed it. The customer service was excellent and exceeded our expectations.
We also really enjoyed our dinner at the Levuka Restaurant while celebrating our 16‑year anniversary, with outstanding service provided by Lui Daurewa and the team.
Thank you.
Rebecca was lovely - thank you!
Breakfast
Bed very uncomfortable, could feel the springs
Room and service for airport transfer was excellent and at a very reasonable price
Old world charm and modern conveniences. I would stay here again. Lovely place, clean and quiet. Pool and patio overlooking the water. Buffet breakfast was truly excellent (you can eat inside or outside). Great location.
This is a charming hotel. It has a very relaxing feel about it. The room was beautiful, we paid a little extra and had a wonderful sea view with a large balcony.
The breakfast was delicious and generous with lovely touches like healthy fruit and vegetable juices. The staff are all super friendly and well trained to make you feel like nothing is too much trouble.
Thankyou for making our stay such a pleasant one
Nothing
We were upgraded to the royal suite and the experience was great.
The surcharges were extremely high.
We recently returned to the Grand Pacific Hotel for an extended stay from March 29 to April 11, and once again, it reminded us why we chose to come back.
The main reason for our return was the exceptional hospitality we experienced during our previous visit. Robert Clark's leadership and the genuine care shown by the entire team left a lasting impression on us, and we were pleased to find that nothing had changed.
Robert kindly arranged a wonderful room for us, which made our stay even more enjoyable. My wife joined me on this trip, and she was equally impressed with both the hotel and the service—not an easy person to impress.
A special thank you to Rosa and Queenie from the restaurant team. Both were excellent, but Rosa was truly outstanding. She was always warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about every guest's experience. What stood out most was that she treated everyone with the same enthusiasm, kindness, and professionalism.
The front desk team was friendly, efficient, and always willing to help, while housekeeping was consistently very good. There were a few minor inconsistencies during our long stay, but nothing that detracted from an otherwise excellent experience.
I would also like to recognize Robert Clark personally. He is one of the best hotel General Managers I have met—approachable, humble, and someone who clearly leads by example. During Cyclone Vaianu, I saw him actively involved around the hotel, making sure guests and staff were looked after while keeping operations running smoothly. That kind of hands-on leadership is rare and speaks volumes about his commitment.
Having stayed at many international hotels over the years, I can honestly say the service culture at the Grand Pacific Hotel rivals that of leading international brands such as IHG Hotels & Resorts. The team genuinely cares about its guests, and it shows in every interaction.
We've already recommended the hotel to friends, who have since booked their own stay, which says all that needs to be said.
With the hotel's exciting renovations underway, we're looking forward to seeing the finished result and may well plan another visit later this year.
Thank you to Robert, Rosa, Queenie, and the entire team for another memorable stay. The Grand Pacific Hotel continues to set the standard for hospitality in Fiji, and we look forward to returning again soon.
It was an amazing stay! everyone is lovely at the property special shout out to Neha and Maciu from Front office team.
The room was impressively tidy and comfortably spacious, especially considering it accommodated two double beds without feeling cramped. Being on the ground floor turned out to be a real advantage. The balcony door opened directly to the outside, giving us quick access to the carport and the street, so we could come and go without having to pass through the lobby each time. It added a sense of ease and convenience to the stay.
Check‑in and check‑out was smooth and efficient, and the staff were consistently warm, smiling, and genuinely eager to help. Their friendliness made the whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish.
The GPH’s location is excellent—just a comfortable 10‑minute walk to the city centre. Parking was never an issue either; there was always plenty of space available even when the hotel was nearly full.
Overall, it was a great stay. GPH is definitely the place to be if you’re visiting Suva and want to enjoy stunning views of the sea, coastline, and city, along with convenience, comfort, and consistently great service.
