Scandic Hamburger Börs

Usually, Scandic hotels are very... similar, and lack any tries to be anything better. This hotel was a lot better than many of my stays within this chain.

Arrived by the Viking Line morning ferry from Stockholm, i.e. in the late evening. The check-in agent was friendly, and instead of the standard room we booked, we were offered a free upgrade to the wide spectrum of their Superior Plus rooms. The agent told that the room would be accessible and therefore slightly more spacious and come with twin beds in oppose of the king bed that was booked. I actually wanted the twin bed more but it wasn't available so I happily took the upgrade. Also, my Scandic Friends tier was not high enough to warrant this, so I don't know why I were this lucky.

As promised, the room was very spacious, came with a couch, two motor twin beds, and an accessible and spacious bathroom. The room was very clean. The view only really included the rooftop of another building, but I went almost directly to bed, so it didn't matter a lot. There wasn't any noise. The room was designed really thoughtfully for the disabled though, with automatic doors, no door tresholds, the motor beds, the emergency rope in the bathroom, and even automatically opening and closing curtains.

The breakfast was your standard Scandic hotel breakfast. I have yet to encounter a single difference between the breakfasts of the Scandic hotels in Finland. There was also dinner, but didn't use that option.

The hotel was directly connected to two different parking garages, and the hotel was located on the edge of Turku's market square, so the location was excellent.

Got a last minute deal for 100 euros for two people including breakfast. For that price, I am very happy.

Aamiainen oli todella monipuolinen ja tarjottavaa riitti, vaikka väkeä oli ruuhkaksi asti. Henkilökunta palveli ystävällisesti kiireestä huolimatta.
Huone oli tilava ja toimiva. Nerokas komero vedenkeitintä ja jääkaappia varten selkeytti huonenäkymää.
Suihkukaappi tilava ja jopa sopiva rollaattorin käyttäjälle, jos sarana olisi eri puolella. Pikkupeilin asennuspaikka voisi olla myös luontevampi vasemmalla puolella. Pikkujuttuja, yleisvaikutelma oikein hyvä!

Centrally located near ferry and in centre of town; good facilities, very comfortable and organised and everything worked well. Friendly staff

Well equipped gym, absolutely amazing breakfast!!! Bed very very big and comfortable, and so was the shower. Like the energy saving modes as well. Fantastic place with very accomodating staff, will definitely want to return of in Turku again

Överraskande bra, kändes som ett nummer bättre än de Svenska Scandic jag bott på.
Stort härligt rum, med utsikt över torget. Parkering i stort underjordiskt garage med egen ingång till hotellet.
Jättebra frukost.

We stayed in a Superior Plus room in July 2026. Our room was very spacy and the self-adjustable air conditioning system was very efficient. We had motorized beds. Our bathroom was also large and water pressure was very good.

However, we were disappointed with the view. Their room description says that Superior Plus rooms are corner rooms. Yes, our room was a corner room but only one wall had a window and it overlooked the courtyard and roofs of neighboring houses. So we hadn't any beautiful city views but on the other hand our room was very silent. We didn't hear any noise and our sleep quality was extremely good. However, in my opinion they shouldn't advertise that Superior Plus rooms are corner rooms or at least they should say that these rooms have only one window.

Views are extremely good from the rooftop bar named Börs Katto which is situated on the 9th floor. Both indoor and outdoor tables are available. Sometimes they have live music, too.

The breakfast buffet was excellent. It included even croissants, white beans, rösti potato, chia pudding, overnight oats, fresh fruits, melon & mint salad, apple crumble, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, strawberry-rhubarb pie etc. Unfortunately the breakfast room was very crowded but they opened also a meeting room for breakfast guests. The service was very kind both at check-in and at breakfast.

The location of the hotel is very central, perhaps the best possible next to the market square. There is a very large public parking hall named Toriparkki under the market square and a direct underground entrance to the hotel. You can drive your car direct to the parking hall and then pay your parking at check-in. So you get a bit cheaper parking and you may drive in and out as many times as you want. Your car is identified automatically based on the registration number.

Everything else than the misleading room description and the crowded breakfast buffet was very good in this hotel. So I really can recommend this hotel.

Aamiainen oli hyvä ja monipuolinen

Aamiainen oli ihan hyvä, joskin aivan ylihintainen. Huone perus siisti, ei kuitenkaan mitenkään ihmeellinen. Hyvin siellä nukkui.

Belle chambre, bien agencée avec une salle de bain bien équipée (douche + baignoire).
L'hôtel est bien placée, on trouve de tout à côté.
Le parking (payant) est pratique

Très bel hôtel moderne, en plein centre ville, à proximité de toute les attractivités de la ville. Chambre spacieuse et très propre, belle vue sur la place centrale et très silencieuse malgré tout. Buffet du petit déjeuner avec choix et quantité. Ne changer rien.
