Breakfast was excellent. No need for a cooked breakfast with that beautiful spread

Breakfast was ok, nothing special. The atmosphere the historic inn gave was comforting and the surroundings provided a peaceful at home feeling. We liked the grounds which we were able to walk around and enjoy the lovely peace and quiet. The treat of course was the underground cellar tour.

We stayed in the Loft room and were pleasantly surprised. We were warned about the number of stairs we had to use to get to our room but found it wasn't a problem & our room was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. We were also surprised by the beautiful continental breakfast that was served the next morning. Exploring the building and gardens topped off a fantastic stay for us.

We loved the self guided walk that we did on the Saturday morning before checking out. The history of the inn was fascinating. It would have been good to know what family or families initially built the Inn and who it has belonged to since then.
We had an attic room and were prepared for the stairs but unfortunately my husband hit his head every time he went to the coffee making area. If it was at all possible to move the table to a place where the ceiling was full height I feel this would be better.
Beautiful setting. Exceptional homestead and breakfast area. I came on a Sunday after 4 and left before 10am the next day so there were no staff. A bit unfortunate as there was an ev charger but no ability to use it. I couldn't get the coffee machine to work. Same issue. Be very nice if they found some capacity for room 12 to have some outdoor seating, as it felt a bit like an afterthought of a room. Having said that, the room was very comfortable and had all the facilities.
Beautiful property that was great to be able to take the dogs for a walk around after a long day in the car! We stayed in the loft room which was super cool and while it was small it was cozy!

Bathroom didn’t have vents so walls got damp. Although I did notice afterwards I could open the window above the sink.
Otherwise great shower with shampoo, conditioner and soap dispenser.

I did not like to see the costs of items if broken in the house keeping booklet I thought that was a bit too in your face and all credit card numbers are available if necessary. May leave your guests with a bitter taste when everything else was so good. Just a suggestion leave it out

The continental breakfast was simple but adequate. Great way to start the day in a charming location.
We had Room 11 - a small attic loft with sloping roof and steep stairway access. Lots of charm but a bit cramped in the ensuite. Otherwise very comfortable.
