Good hotel, we recommend
Pros:

Comfortable bed, private beach, good WiFi and good food. Nice swimming pools. Very nice and friendly and helpful stuff. Near atm

Cons:

Our room was on the ground floor, overlooking an electrical transformer that would switch on and make loud noises for several hours a day.

Great location and spacious room, but skip the breakfast
Pros:

The location is amazing and super central! Our room was very clean, surprisingly spacious, and came with a handy mini-fridge. The bed was large and very comfortable. Additionally, the reception staff were lovely, welcoming, and really friendly throughout our stay.

Cons:

The breakfast was so disappointing that we had to eat at a nearby cafe instead. We arrived about an hour after breakfast started, but there were only leftovers remaining and nothing was being replenished. I even had to ask directly for a yogurt so my son would have something to eat. To make matters worse, the breakfast staff were quite rude.

Good place to stay and spend a lovely time in Stone Town
Pros:

Tembo hotel it is an amazing hotel to stay, close to everything you need to do.
The staff in the Tembo hotel were extremely friendly which means a lot for a tourist, the breakfast was also good :) I would highly recommend

Pros:

Breakfast and food was great and service at the restaurant was realy nice.
Location on the beach was good as well but don't expect it to be good for swimming - it is located where all boats are anchored.

Cons:

1. Room was dark, old and not appealing.
2. I asked to be picked up from airport. My flight was 10min early and even though i waited and asked every person there waiting to pick up passangers, none of them where for me. Hotel says they did send and that he waited for but was no one there maybe he was waiting at the wrong terminal though mentioning to them that flight is domestic coming from Pemba they should have know pick up is at the domestic terminal.

Perfect for a last night stay in Stone town before flight.
Pros:

This is my second time staying at this establishment, mainly because of its excellent location. It is ideally situated, right by the sea, making it easy to enjoy various activities and easy access to restaurants and visiting Stone Town. The swimming pool is also a real highlight, especially when you have a late-night flight and want to relax before leaving. The reception staff was very helpful as we had a midnight flight our baggage was stored and we could use shower facilities to freshen up before going to the airport.

Unfortunately, what I did not appreciate was the service at the restaurant. The staff seemed more interested in ignoring guests than in providing service, which was disappointing and took away from an otherwise pleasant experience.

The location and facilities are excellent, but the restaurant service definitely needs improvement.

No bar and not allowed to bring a drink to your sun lounger from the bar next door either.
No lifts and 3 flights of stairs to our room was hard work!

Great location, nice vibe to hotel but not great staff.
Pros:

Amazing location in terms of being close to main sights and beach. Pools were lovely. Food was nice and being able to get room service was good. We were able to store luggage here for our safari. We got a family room which had 3 double beds in one room and a large bathroom with huge shower which was really nice. It was in a room in a building across the road which was fine for us but may not be for some people

Cons:

While some of the staff were lovely, particularly the reception, the restaurant staff were extremely unwelcoming and unhelpful. We were told upon check in that breakfast was on until 10:30. When we arrived for breakfast the following morning we were informed it finished at 10. The restaurant staff were very unhelpful and after speaking with reception who allowed us to pick up the few remaining bits of the buffet remaining, we received many looks and multiple staff coming up to tell us we weren’t allowed despite being told to do so by staff. They seemed more bothered about ensuring there was some left for them. The hotel also attempted to charge us for a meal we already paid for on checkout which was quite stressful.
