It was a decent stay and staff proved to be friendly.
Pros:

It’s near proximity to the town center and stone town

Cons:

They could have at least provided some vanity kit.
There were some insects in the bathroom that could easily enter someone’s nose and ears. A mesh cover would help prevent them from getting in the rooms and bathroom

Excellent, great staff and great location
Pros:

Staff were excellent. Wanted to change room for a quieter one and no problem at all. Final visit, I'd book incorrectly and again no problem. Great location, beach views and in historic centre of Stonetone. Breakfast good.

Cons:

Not as such an 'unlike' but be aware, like a lot of places, no alcohol served.

Good option for 1-3 days of stay for Stone Town Visit
Pros:

Location, breakfast

Cons:

We could not stay at Freddie Mercury Apartment which we booked on the first night because of technical reason and We were given Standard room as replacement. The hotel management compensated 40 USD because of that uncomfortable situation.

Charming luxurious hotel at keen price with the front opening on to Stone Town and rear on to beach
Pros:

Brilliant. Attractiuve colonial building 'with the rear opening on to the beach and looking towards the islands. Large varied buffet breakfast included. Reception staff went out of their way and even printed a load of stuff up for us. Helped out with any transprt or tours or map at the best prices. All this for the price of a modest mid-range European Guest House.

Cons:

Only a problem if you are not too mobile as there is no lift. If necessary ask i davance for lower floors.
