Restaurant was the redeeming factor.
Pros:

The location of the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was great and the food very good

Cons:

The rooms were a little dingy and our view was of a tint inner courtyard and mural. No pool

Better choices in Nelson
Pros:

Room was decent and location is good

Cons:

The front desk staff didn't know what they were doing. They told us we had to pay an additions pet deposit when we had already paid the extra money for a pet friendly room. I argued with them about this and then turns out they didn't charge us the extra. We had to cancel our last night because of an emergency at home and I'm still waiting for the refund. The front desk staff told us to call booking to cancel. The number they gave us was constantly busy. I called booking customer service and they said the hotel had to cancel the booking. I called the hotel and was told only a manager could do that and the manager was only the 7- 3. Finally I got ahold of the manager and she told me booking had to cancel it. The manager said they'd call booking and take care of it. This was almost a month ago. Never heard from the manager or booking and never received a refund.

Pros:

Very convenient location and very quiet rooms.

Cons:

Our view was of a concrete wall. For the price of the room, I would have expected a slightly better view.

With all the hidden fees, might as well just upgrade to one of the luxury hotels in town.
Pros:

Parking included

Cons:

Hidden fees including for pets, continental breakfast. Tiny room in basement with window into narrow 'courtyard' that didnt open. Rude staff at check in. Amenities like hot tub unpleasant.
