Clean, spacious room which was close to the station. Helpful staff.
The hotel is located on a busy main road, so there was lots of road noise, particularly sirens from ambulances and fire engines.
The bed was extremely hard and not especially comfortable. The toilet had an extremely slow flush!

Very outdated hotel, not clean, everything seemed to be held together by DIY screws and electric tape. They take £100 deposit which I haven’t seen anywhere and have ridiculous rules (no having a guest back, even after I booked a twin room, £50 fine if breached). Bad check out time (10am). Entire hotel had a bad smell. Loud area with people arguing out the front. Rock hard beds.
was ideally located, clean and tidy, although room match a travel lodge style room weird that only hull is the only city ive stayed at where all hotels round that area take 50 to 100 pound deposits never come across this before in any town.
upgrading of bathrooms would help in the future as my one in particular looks like its starting to go out of date ie only style wise which i hope they will do in the future i.e within 10 years

Not very clean was black bugs in our bed which was shocking the tv in the rooms was not great couldn’t get Netflix or anything on it

The hotel we had originally booked was cancelled, so we ended up in the Gilson Hotel. Very friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean (but not the windows on the outside). It was on the back-side of the building so not much noise. Great location, very near the city centre. Wifi was slow but worked. And we could leave our luggage with the reception. Very helpful.
