Hotel is in an excellent location, close to the sea and handy for the D Day Museum and for the Historic Docks.
Local bus services were immediately close to the Hotel.
TV restricted movement around the room.
Toilet roll holder was in the wrong place, you could not reach it when on the toilet!
There was no toilet brush available.
There is no facility to charge Electric Razors. I had to go into the Town to buy an adapter.
Lovely hotel, excellent staff, free parking, nice bar
Bath was not fully cleaned - several hairs present
Enjoyed breakfast
Un emplacement idéal face à la mer, une décoration délicieusement désuète, un personnel attentif... La quintessence de l'Angleterre
Everything I could ask for after a tuff day
Nothing
Sehr schönes Hotel direkt am Meer
The location and layout of the hotel was great, the staff were helpful and friendly
My room, a single room that I payed over £80.00 for for one night, had a toilet and shower IN THE ROOM, no seperate bathroom, just a fake wall in the room blocking the view of the toilet, but was in the same room, like in a prison.
Stunning hotel and our room had a beautiful sea view that was very romantic. Staff were friendly and room was pretty and spotlessly clean. There was a wedding at the hotel while we were staying, but the soundproofing in our room was excellent, and we weren't disturbed at all by any noise.
Nothing, this is a fab place to stay!
Liked location and previous stays.
Did not like
I stayed in 240 a double room at the back of the hotel in ear shot of the kitchen, which was very noisy at 6am! the room had no curtains so I was woken at dawn, there was an unpleasant smell in the room but worse in the bathroom . The pillow could not be called pillows more hard lumps of mass in a pillow case. I have not paid over £100 for a worst sleep since I was staying the same room with my toddlers.
Very disappointed
I did not mention this at check out because the girl on reception was so nice it felt unkind to blame her for the horrendous experience.
All of the above
Nous sommes arrivés vers 18h30 et la réception ne nous a pas informé que le restaurant ne servait plus de repas après 20h30. Nous avons donc été obligé de nous rabattre sur le snack du bar.
Staff very helpful.
Food was good and we enjoyed the location.
In our room there wasn't a plug near a mirror so it was difficult to do my hair for the wedding we had come for.
Common areas very grand.
Bedroom very comfortable and had a great seaside view.
Poor breakfast offerings for vegans, so breakfasted elsewhere.
We were here for a wedding reception in the hotel and other members of my family, including my elderly mother (grandmother of the groom) who had booked a single room, had tiny, cramped rooms with no proper windows which was very disappointing for them, especially as in both cases they rarely stay in hotels.
Lovely breakfast with accommodating and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel and location. Our room was great with an amazing sea view and giant porthole shaped window.
We were part of a wedding party. Rooms were lovely for those who booked a room with a view but for those with a single room (ie the grooms grandma and nan) the rooms were unexpectedly rather cell like (one with a wall outside the window the other with high up frosted windows). This made the rooms not enjoyable for them to stay in apart from sleeping. It would be good to be made aware of this when booking.
A wonderful hotel with welcoming and friendly staff throughout.
The room was spacious and comfortable, with amazing views across the Solent.
The restaurant was set in a lovely area with comfort and space within. The food was delicious and presented so well. I recommend the Contemporary Apple dessert..an amazing Pastry Chef.
We enjoyed our stay at The Queens Hotel and would definitely recommend it 🙂
Everything was perfect.
Professional service. Friendly staff .
Beautiful single room with circular window and lovely view over Southsea Common towards Clarence Pier. Great for watching all the ferries coming and going. I did not have breakfast as I considered an additional £18 too expensive.
