Todo
No parking on site
Honestly, we paid a significant amount of money for this hotel, and I can say with absolute certainty that we will not be coming back.
First of all, the first unpleasant surprise happened at check-in, when we found out that the hotel does not have its own parking, even though parking was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel in the first place (!!!). We were told to park in a public city parking lot, which we had to pay for ourselves.
What was an even bigger surprise was receiving the hotel bill and seeing that the hotel had charged us $42 for parking. My question is: what exactly was this $42 charge for if our car was parked in a public city parking lot the entire time, and we paid for that parking ourselves?
Then there was breakfast. Many reviews mention that the breakfast is good, but as someone from Europe who genuinely cares about food, I have to say that we did not enjoy it. On the first morning, I got pancakes for my child and a waffle for myself, and I simply could not eat either one. The waffle was so unappetizing that I couldn’t finish it, and we were basically left hungry. Thankfully, there was some fruit, which is what I ended up eating.
We did not leave a tip, and on the second day we noticed that the woman serving us barely interacted with us at all. On the first day, we were offered coffee and tea, which were brought to us, and we received attentive service. On the second day, nobody even came over to us.
We are perfectly capable of getting things ourselves, but the point is that we had already paid for the service, and any additional payment, including a tip, should be voluntary, not something that seems to affect the level of service you receive.
The room itself was actually fine. It was clean and tidy, and we have no complaints about the room in general. However, once again, there were additional charges that left a very bad impression.
Easy going & the staff were friendly.
Bit of a walk to some attractions.
Location. Big room!
No parking. Kinda smelly (our room smelled like weed)
Staff was friendly and helpful.
