We had a wonderful stay at Angkana Bungalows and would happily come back.
The bungalow was spotless, comfortable, and had a lovely beach atmosphere. The pool and beachfront area were beautiful and perfect for relaxing. We also really enjoyed the restaurant—the food was excellent.
The location is very convenient, with a 7-Eleven just a short walk away.
A special thank you to the staff, especially the man at the reception. He was always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. He arranged taxis, gave us great recommendations, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly recommend Angkana Bungalows to anyone visiting Koh Phangan.
The only small downside was the frequent low tide, which meant we couldn’t always swim in the sea. However, there are several beautiful beaches nearby where you can swim.

Angkana Bungalows are lovely individual small bungalows set in lovely planted grounds close to the beach and easily walkable into Thong Sala. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need and are simply, but stylishly decorated and built using local materials. You also have a nice veranda. Rooms include a fridge, kettle, hairdryer, safe and towels. They even provide a couple of sarongs and light anti-mosquito coils in the evening. The owner Matteus is extremely helpful, I quizzed him several times on beaches to go to, where to hire a moped etc, and he couldn't have been nicer. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient. And my room was spotlessly clean. They have a cute little restaurant and bar (the food is home cooked, very reasonable and really delicious). And even though it was fully booked it was quiet and felt secluded and peaceful. It was exactly what I wanted, and was incredible value. I would definitely go back.
The beach is set on an inlet, and at low tide it isn't really swimmable (Koh Phangan is very tidal, so this will depend on when you visit - while I was there high tide was at night). That said there is a small pool, and the beach is very clean and well kept. There are plenty of sun loungers, hammocks and beach bean bags - and the sand is soft and white! In truth you likely will spend more time exploring the island's many beaches, so I only spent one morning at the beach at Angkana Bungalows. Worth noting that the tide affects almost all the island's beaches.

L’emplacement était top, proche de tout. Le coucher de soleil peut être admiré depuis la plage dédié à l’hôtel ce qui est sublime. Petite mention pour le jeune homme qui travail au restaurant qui était vraiment sympathique et qui cuisine très bien. Le décor est joli, on est en plein dans la nature.
Tout d’abord, dès notre arrivée nous avons été très surpris car nous avons trouvé accroché au rideau de la chambre un nid de guêpe avec à l’intérieur des araignées mortes. Ce qui démontre plutôt bien que le ménage n’est pas correctement réalisé dans les bungalows car comment pouvez vous passer à coter de ça ? Ensuite, pas de prise en charge pour se rendre à l’hôtel ni pour aller au port. Nous devons payer un taxi de nos poches à des prix exorbitants. La dame de la réception nous a accueilli très vaguement, elle nous a très rapidement présenté les lieux sans plus. D’ailleurs la réception ferme tôt ce qui est encombrant de n’avoir personne à qui s’adresser à partir d’une certaine heure. Le bungalow en lui même était sympas mais il manque cruellement de propreté au sol. On sortait de la douche et on marchait pied nu dans la chambre, nos pieds devenaient vite noir. D’ailleurs la douche nécessite grandement une rénovation. La plage n’est pas adaptée pour se baigner et l’isolation du bungalow pas au top. Dans le lavabo des toilettes c’est rempli de petites fourmis constamment durant tout le long de notre séjour, je comprend que le lieu est dans la nature mais c’est encombrant d’en retrouver même dans nos affaires qui sont posés à coter.
Een prachtige plek. Wij hadden een bungalow met zeezicht. Prachtig! Lekkere veranda, hangmat, koelkast. Allemaal prima 🤩 Net buiten de drukte van Thong Sala maar wel op loopafstand.
We konden niet in zee zwemmen. In juli is het tij extreem laag en vallen hel stukken droog. Heel jammer maar dat wisten we.

Lidt for ringe mad udvalg, så man skulle gå et stykke op i byen for at finde noget at spise hvor der heller ikke var særlig meget. Så de kunne godt have fået mere ud af det hvis de havde lavet en lidt mere hyggelig restaurant.

Der Pool ist sehr erfrischend weil im Schatten gelegen.
Habe um einen Tag verlängert was ohne Probleme möglich war.

Fantastic owner and dito staff
An sich schöne Anlage und nett gestalteter Strand mit Liegen und Hängematten.
Am Strand ist tagsüber meistens Ebbe und man kann auch in der Nähe nicht wirklich schwimmen. Sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Bad ist etwas heruntergekommen. Die Katze ist in unser Zimmer gekommen.
Heerlijk verblijf. Mooie locatie. Alles wordt buiten goed onderhouden.
De binnenkant van sommige huisjes kunnen wel een kleine renovatie gebruiken.
De wifi doet het niet super.
