Room was lovely

Stunning hotel with friendly staff and a lovely dining room for breakfast
Heating was on in the bathroom which made it too hot in summer however they did provide fans
The staff (as always) were brilliant.
As i was travelling from birmingham by train, the hotel's location was perfect. The girls behind the counter were very welcoming and easy to deal with. I loved the fact that there is a nice little bar and the sitting room style lounge was very relaxing. Breakfast was a continental, i ordered a hot breakfast which was quite cheap and very tasty. I booked the double room with private bathroom, the room was very comfortable and clean. The location is the major selling point, close to all ameneties, ample transport right outside the front door, and close to the world famous city ground, so great for those travelling for Nottingham Forest games. I'll be staying here everytime i travel for a game.
Not the hotels fault, but it got quite noisy outside the hotel quite early in the morning, there is a Tesco next door, and they were receiving deliveries. other than that, i have no complaints.

It was in an ideal location and was really quirky. Really enjoyed staying here
Well it was really hot weather and it was very difficult to sleep, we did have a fan in the room but it just seemed uncomfortable. It wasn't till the morning when we were leaving that we realised the towel rail in the bathroom was on full blast and was hotter than outside!!!! Have no clue why this was on at all
It was good proximity to the town center
The room was small and no air conditioning so had to open the window as the room being at the top of the hotel was very hot, but could not sleep due to the noise from the street below through the night due to homeless camped out below
Shared bathroom fine, but maybe some shampoo in the room would've been nice. Bathroom fittings a bit wobbly tbh. Shower tap fell off for example. But otherwise comfortable stay.
Location to the station (literally next door),proximity to Nottm city centre,the rooms are always spot on. I’ve stopped here many times and have already booked again
Nothing really
The staff were friendly and helpful. I liked the building, had a boutique feel particularly the breakfast/cafe room. Breakfast was ok (continental included in the price which was reasonable). Perfectly located opposite the train station as that was our mode of transport to get there. Also plenty of buses stop outside and it's only a 10 min walk to the shops, castle, pubs, restaurants etc., The bathroom seemed quite new and we liked the shower that was simple to use and told you how many litres of water you were using. It was very quiet for a centrally located hotel.
The bed was very uncomfortable and felt very small (standard double), not sure even a mattress topper would have helped as the base was hard board (so no give). The windows opened which was great but because they're old sash they don't stay open. There was a fan in the room which was useful.

The hotel was charming and the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I was so pleased that they noticed I had left my bag and called me just after so I could return to get it. Location right opposite the station is super handy.
