The location is really amazing. Very central, and a beautiful place. It was so lovely to eat outside in front and the food was very good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was nice to be able to use the Sofitel pool, and to have a private car ride over there. I had a room on the ground floor (room 1) which had a lovely outside space to sit. The snacks given each night were appreciated. I really enjoyed it a lot. Thank you.

A wonderful hotel filled with charm and elegance - the staff are exceptional and really took care of us. We had an enormous balcony (room 6) above the reception area and loved watching the world go by. Beds were super comfy and all the little extras made it a very memorable stay.
We loved this hotel, but…it’s an old building and you’re right on the street, which can get a little noisy

The staff and breakfast
We were in a downstairs room twice and because the building is old with teak floors you can hear absolutely every movement upstairs - we were unlucky to have people who got up in the night and slept really badly for 2 nights - the staff will tell you it is a Heritage Hotel but still you need to be able to sleep well
Also for the money the hotel rooms are very tired with old bathroom fittings (tiny shower head fixed to taps over the bath) - this is our 3rd time in Luang Prabang and this is the worse value for money
Loved the location, the old-world decor and ambience and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
