Magical stay in a fully preserved medieval fortress, surrounded by the magic of a medieval festival.
Pros:

It is of course magical to be in a medieval castle and to actually be staying at the main attraction of the charming medieval city of Óbidos. We will be returning there surely! But only to the Superior Rooms.

Cons:

Superior rooms are wonderful. Standard rooms, not so much. We had one night in a standard room and were not exactly happy with the quality of the bed and the general feeling of the room. We asked to change rooms and the Superior room was truly a game changer. Now we know which rooms to book :)

Staying in a Castle
Pros:

The location of the hotel is perfect. It's essentially right next to the castle and in the breakfast room, located in the castle there is a large window that looks out over the area where currently there is a medieval market.
Breakfast was lovely with oodles of options including plenty of coffee. The room is a nice size and the rainshower was delightful. It was really nice that the young men came down to the parking area outside of the castle walls to fetch me and my things and then took me back to my car when I left. And also when I departed I received a small bit of dark chocolate.

Cons:

On my first morning there I wanted a cup of the coffee that was included in the room. But try as I may I couldn't get the coffee machine to come on. A nice young man came to help me but he couldn't initially get it to work either. At some point it did come on but then it wouldn't stop and poured water all over the floor.
I had asked for a double bed but the bed I got was 2 twin beds shoved together which still creates a split between the beds.

Charming place but tired room! We booked a superior room & there’s was nothing superior about it.
Pros:

The location in the walls & the welcome we received.

Cons:

The room was dismal, tired & adjoined to noisy neighbours! The walls are so thin you could hear every word of their conversation & he has a loud voice! Also we had to ask for coffee pods for the coffee machine 🤷🏼‍♀️!

Uniquement le petit déjeuner et la localisation dans Óbidos
Le seul qui mérite une bonne notre est le bagagiste très serviable et souriant

Cons:

Chambre qui pue le moisi
Très très bruyant, si une isolation des chambres
Très sombres
Aucun confort de mobilier
Robinets de la baignoire fonctionnaient très mal.

Vale a experiência.
Pros:

Local incrível, excelente pequeno almoço. Todos os funcionários extremamente cordiais e atenciosos, principalmente os meninos da recepção e o garçom. Vista maravilhosa. Lençóis limpos.

Cons:

A cama extra realmente não deveria ter esse nome. Talvez um saco de dormir fosse melhor. Completamente em descompasso com a categoria do hotel. Precisariam rever isso urgente.

It was a magical place, so authentic and well kept. Everything was very clean and the staff were very service minded and helpful.

Fantastic - take the oppurtunity to stay in a castle whenever you can!
Pros:

Rooms were great with renovated facilities, although the bathroom was quite tight.
Breakfast was exceptional, and our stay was great with direct access to the town / castle walls.
Transport direct to reception and luggage transfer was a little problematic, however the team were overall very helpful.
