Karahe Beach Hotel

I highly recommend this hotel!! However, it’s important to keep a few things in mind: the hotel is made up of several different buildings, and your experience will be totally different depending on the room type you choose.

The beachfront wing is the absolute highlight of the hotel. These rooms are new and clean, with great pool views, and they are just a very short walk from the beach (which is the best part of the property). The location by the water is simply perfect. The hotel has its own chairs and tables right on the sand, and it’s so much fun to just sit there by the ocean, sipping cocktails from the hotel restaurant, and swimming.

Aside from the beachfront building, there are other buildings located further back. On our first night, we stayed in the "Villa" rooms, which are situated up on a hill. The ocean views from there are stunning and the villas themselves are nice (though a bit dated), but getting up to them feels a lot like hiking to a viewpoint. The stairs are quite steep and challenging, which can be pretty exhausting in the Manuel Antonio heat. The area is also currently under renovation, giving it a bit of a construction site feel. We stayed there for one night and then asked the hotel staff if we could switch. To their credit, they were incredibly sweet and helpful—they offered to show us different options and let us choose whichever room we preferred (since it was the off-season, they had availability).

In addition to these rooms, there is a building with newer rooms next to the villas. These rooms are bright, clean, and modern, and they offer the same amazing ocean views as the villas, but they come with that same challenging climb. There is also another, older building located right by the main road (near the reception).

All that aside, the hotel's location is excellent—very close to both the beach and the national park. The staff is lovely and super accommodating, and the pool is nice and cozy.

Le site est superbe. La vue époustouflante. Les chambres confortables. C'est calme. Le restaurant au bord de l'eau est aussi très agréable. Accès direct à la plage

Restauranten ligger helt ved strandsonen. De hadde også border og stoler under trærne som ble servert. Hotellet har også strandstoler og parasoller. Bygningene lå midt spredt. Meget fin park, med dyr og fugler.

Amenities are nice and location is amazing. It’s right in front of the beach, and you can even walk to Manuel Antonio’s National Park. Breakfast is good, but always the same.
Rooms are clean, but they feel old: beds, floors and furniture are just outdated. Not even a TV.

La ubicación excelente. Mi habitación tenía una terracota desde donde podía ver el mar y mucha vegetando.
Salida directa a la playa. Si ibas temprano, tenias reposera.
Llegué a media mañana y me dieron habitación igual

The location and views are great. Within walking distance to the beach and Manuel Antonio. The parking is good too. The staff is nice and helpful.
