Perfect location for food, shopping and local culture
Pros:

Amazing location next to 2 large, modern malls - amazing food and shopping choices. All within a short distance to the sea. Very modern and large room with very nice amenities - including mini-bar selections for free. Rooftop pool looked beautiful, but I did not use it personally.

Cons:

Price was good, but if I could get a 20% discount for this same room, I would stay longer.

Fijn en net hotel waar je echt tot rust komt omdat alles klopt.
Pros:

Mooie moderne grote kamers die super schoon en netjes waren met heerlijk liggende bedden. Hotel ligt tussen twee winkelcentra in. Zeer uitgebreid en heerlijk ontbijt. Ondanks dat gluten-intolerantie niet door iedereen goed begrepen werd (begrepen niet altijd dat ik ook graag wilde weten of bepaalde buffet-gerechten glutenvrij waren) deed men wel alle moeite en bereidde de chef een speciale glutenvrije belegde boterham voor mij.
Gym is netjes en compleet en het zwembad was ook mooi.

Niks te klagen.

Pros:

The location is excellent and the roof top pool is lovely.

Cons:

Sun loungers could be upgraded.
Laundry took quite a long time to be returned.
Housekeeping cleaned rooms quite late in the day.

Conveniently located in between 2 big malls. Also within walking distance of Pulau Tikus with excellent local food like char kway teow, penang hae mee, wan tan mee and appam.

Exceptional 5-day stay, but ruined by a flooded lobby at check-out
Pros:

​I stayed at G Hotel Kelawai for 5 days, and for the vast majority of my trip, everything was absolutely perfect. The hotel is incredibly comfortable, luxurious, and high-end. The service from the staff was top-notch, and the quality of the amenities was excellent. I was highly satisfied and ready to give this hotel a perfect score.
​However, the final impression completely ruined the experience.
​On the day I checked out, it started raining heavily, and the driveway right outside the lobby entrance completely flooded. There was no proper drainage, and no proactive assistance or temporary walkways were set up by the staff. When I was trying to get into my car, I had to step directly into deep water. My shoes were completely soaked through, and my luggage got drenched as well. I left the hotel feeling completely miserable, drenched, and frustrated.
​It is a real pity that a premium hotel with such wonderful service and comfort failed so badly on basic wet-weather management. I hope management addresses the drainage issue at the entrance so future guests don't have to experience such a chaotic and disappointing departure.

Great hotel and very efficient staff. Would highly recommend this hotel. They have a very convenient golf cart that can take you from the hotel to the shopping mall if it is raining.
