i loved the location, loved the look and style of the place.
The walls are so thin. i never had a good nights sleep sadly. Due to people walking around outside or sitting outside, and hearing the rooms to the left and the right of me, and above us. could hear talking, walking and moving furniture. The hotel needs 100% better sound proofing of rooms, i had the suite with the lake view. You assume it’s a lake and not a stream, had people outside the bedroom taking pictures with the stream lol so didn’t feel private with the curtains open. There was dogs everywhere lol i wanted to sit by the open fire at night and a couple kept letting their dog bark at anyone all night. Dog friendly hotel is certainly is, abit to many dogs for myself. The room looked clean at a glance but after dropping my earring and moving the bed, found mess! needs a good clean.
The hotel is perfectly located for driving to nearby places of interest, eg Bibury, the decor makes you feel as though you are in the Cotswolds - modern with a clean, rustic vibe with a lovely outside space for eating and drinking as well as the beautiful courtyard area. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Great location beside the river in a beautiful old building with attractive rooms, comfortable beds and a good shower. Very welcoming staff.
It was a warm night, fans were available but had to be collected by residents. A fridge in the room would be useful.
Our room looked onto the beer garden and there was some noise from drinkers.

Everything the staff were not friendly and not great service the rooms were far to hot we was offered fans which we took 2 but so noisy and didn’t even touch the heat in the stuffy room open the window and all you heard was the busy road the shower didn’t stay on the bracket and leaked all night very annoying pillows were awful and very uncomfortable there are no fridges in the room only a larder in the hallway so had to walk to get milk water etc but the water wasn’t cold after a while and was tap water! food was very average messed our order up blamed it on a new chef my husband had almost finished his by the time they came back with mine and it still wasn’t exactly what I’d ordered better to stay in a premier inn with air con and more luxuries for the money!
They seem to have thought of everything. So perfect for us with our dog. Outdoor seating areas were wonderful. The room was so cool despite 30 degree heat outside. Food was great. We liked everything.
