Very lovely hotel in a great location with very helpful and friendly staff
Pros:

We stayed in Gresham House. The room was lovely and overlooked the gardens. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. We didn’t have time to use the complimentary bikes or have a tour in one of the cars, but I would love to do this when I return. Overall, I loved this hotel

I paid a good amount of money for the night stay, for the Gresham suite, expecting something extra. But unfortunately everything was standard and basic. I should have just booked a standard room. I would have saved some money.

Room was spacious, bed was comfortable.

Cons:

Room service was exceptionally poor and completely let down what should have been a relaxing stay. We booked a stay at the Gonville to escape the heatwave with our 3-month-old baby and 5-year-old, so prompt service was especially important. Unfortunately, our room service arrived two hours after we placed the order, and one of the main meals was missing altogether.

I called twice to chase the order but received no clear update. Eventually, I had to go down to reception myself to find out what had happened and ask them to resolve the issue. The manager eventually came up to apologise, but by that point the experience had already been ruined.

Overall, it was a very disappointing experience with poor communication and unacceptable service. Sadly, we won’t be returning

Good location, excellent staff, the rest hugely disappointing
Pros:

The location was perfect, the rooms were comfortable. The staff were excellent, particularly Abi on reception, she was so helpful on a number of occasions.

Cons:

Public areas very disappointing. The restaurant is closed 4 nights a week! The only food option is in the bar with small tables and uncomfortable chairs, plus a very limited, dull menu. The £28 per night for parking your car is a rip off. I don’t expect the hotel to hold on to its stars.

Pros:

Desk staff were accommodating and the location, breakfast and outdoor terrace are very nice.

Cons:

Overall, the hotel furnishings are a bit tired and in need of re-upholstering or replacement. The bar and restaurant staff are completely unfocused and mis-managed with lost orders, delayed servings and disappearing service staff occurring all three times we visited the bar and restaurant.

Отель:
Очень хороший. Отличное расположение, прекрасный ресторан и бар. Чистый, ухоженный, уютный отель. С удовольствием бы вернулась туда еще раз.
Территория небольшая, но есть парковка (платная, у нас вышло 28 евро). Так же в отеле есть ресторан и бар. Можно арендовать ретро автомобиль.
Важно!Отель взимает депозит за проживание, но возвращают его сразу же в день выезда.

Персонал:
Очень учтивый, все просьбы выполнялись практически мгновенно. К сожалению не запомнила имя молодого человека на ресепшн в дни нашего приезда, но онпросто покорил мое сердце своей учтивостью, радушием искренним желанием помочь!

Номер:
Очень уютный номер, места было достаточно для размещения двоих взрослых. В номере было все необходимое, даже отпариватель для одежды. Так же нам оставили приветственный бонус: попкорн, шоколад и воду, очень приятно.
В ванной хорошая сантехника, горячая вода всегда в наличии.
Кровать была удобной, постельное белье чистым.
Хороший кондиционер.

Питание:
Хорошее меню и напитки. Завтрак так же был очень хорошим: есть шведский стол, горячие блюда из меню, напитки (в том числе кофе из кофемашины, свежие соки и просеко).

Cons:

1.Душевая кабина не изолирована, отсутствует порог, поэтому вода остается на полу ванной комнаты. Из-за этого сильно намокает входная дверь в ванную и портится ее внешний вид.
2.Набор полотенец был только на 1 персону, хотя бронь была на двоих. Но, в целом, это ни как не повлияло на наш комфорт.
3.Вид из окна был на противоположные окна номеров, из-за чего не было возможности открыть шторы.

Pleasant for function attending
Pros:

Have stayed before as daughter is at university in Cambridge wonderful air conditioning quiet room even though at front side near the road . Staff at reception well mannered and smiling (yeah)

Cons:

A bit of a tidy up in bathroom shower .. grouting
Coffee making facilities in the wardrobe
Bed was a bit lumpy!
