Enjoyable for the family, close the airport and pleasant service!
Pros:

We were double charged by mistake (booking.com and the hotel) and the manager processed the refund promptly. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had having traveled both within and outside of the US. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The attendants were pleasant and helpful. The location was excellent and close to the airport (which was helpful as our flights got cancelled two days in a row). There was also a nature trail next to the hotel where we took our kids walking. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

We waited over an hour for the hotel shuttle. We were told several times that it was coming instead of the attendant just saying (which the driver later told us) there was a shift change, and it only goes each half hour. The pool was grimy and seemed to have a gray film floating in it. My kids were really looking forward to the pool, and this was one of the reasons that we booked this hotel. Otherwise, everything was good.

What was lost, was found!
Pros:

I had a great time as ever at GenCon, so much so that I left a bag stuffed with my exhibitor hall “loot” behind in my room. Thanks to Marisa at the hotel, the bag was found, and efficiently shipped (my mistake - my expense) back to me. I can’t express my gratitude for her first rate job in finding my lost bag and returning to me. This expresses the old thinking from Waldorf-Astoria that we are ladies and gentlemen serving other ladies and gentlemen. I may feel stupid, but Marisa and the staff treated this situation and me, with respect - as a guest.

I went for the shuttle, but wouldn't go back for the restaurant
Pros:

I was able to take a bath which was nice. The pool was good. The airport shuttle was my main reason for staying

Cons:

Cockroaches in the kitchen, and my room wasnt ready until 6pm despite booking being 3pm.

Marriage retreat
Pros:

We held a marriage retreat here for 20 couples. The meeting space was great, the catering went smoothly and food tasted great. There were a couple of things I needed help with throughout the event, and the catering manager, Ranlon, was a huge help.
