Pros:

Location was good, near to Paddington station. Amenities were not excellent, we didn't have air conditioning in the room and the temperature outside was hot during our stay. The room was clean. Breakfast was okay, we enjoyed the free English breakfast when booking online.

Pleasant hotel offering excellent value in the heart of London
Pros:

The Darlington is one of many hotels in Sussex Gardens, but it's distinguished by very pleasant rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and terrific breakfasts which are included if you book direct. Perfectly situated close to Paddington Station and convenient to the Tube to get around London and see the sights, plus it was quiet at night and we slept well in the comfortably appointed room.

Really decent hotel in a perfect location.
Pros:

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The room was clean and we had all the basics we needed, including soap and shower gel. The continental breakfast was sufficient and we could have ordered the cooked breakfast if we had wanted. The checkout time was not too early and to be able to drop off or leave our bags at the hotel while we went out on our first and final days was really useful.
It is a perfect location for walking anywhere in Central London or travelling to and from Paddington.

Cons:

The fridge didn't really work and despite being given fans, the room was boiling as there was no fresh air coming in from the windows, due to the position of the room.
The breakfast was fine but the tea was horrible! Probably the worst I've ever had! The staff were great though.
