The locatyion
The show era head was rusty
the location and the decor inside
quite confusing once you’re in the hotel and room was okay.
La piscina y el jacuzzi
La almohada y la ducha sin precion y frío
This is a gorgeous 18th century colonial building in a perfect location in Puerto de la Cruz. Our room's wooden balcony looked out on a plaza where we heard church bells. The hotel's atrium, with climbing vines is magnificent. The breakfast was solid. The rooftop endless rooftop pool, jacuzzi, and little sauna were all very nice.
It's important to set expectations. Things the hotel does not have: A/C. At night you will need to have the windows open (fortunately no mosquitos), turn on the ceiling van (which does a little), and sleep without clothes. There is also no hot water for showering, but since the room is so warm that is not a problem. They have a daily charge for using the in-room hotel safe, so you should bring your own suitcase padlock. There is also no drinking water, so you need to walk to the local market a couple blocks away to buy big jugs of water to bring back. There is also no on-site parking per se and no way to even drop luggage easily outside, but fortunately the beachside parking is free and only a 10 minute walk away. There is no in-room kettle for making tea. There are only a single, not particularly plush pillow for each person.
El personal del hotel muy atentos y agradables
Personal muy amable. El inmueble tiene un interior realmente bonito. Habitación cómoda, amplia y con terraza pero sin reformar. La ubicación es 10 de 10.
Muy recomendable
The staff, location, service was excellent.
The only thing I would say was air conditioning in the room would have been good. It did have a large fan on the roof but bit cooler at night would have been good. But loved it .
Lo mejor: Todo el Personal de todos los Departamentos, educados, profesionales y con ganas de atenderte. El desayuno muy bueno, variado y con calidad.
As always friendly hotel staff great location feels safe and always clean.
Hot water ceased 5days later still no shower or hot water in the tap. No communication other than sorry. No room exchange offered. Also had trouble with the fridge eventually go it changed that was appreciated. I stay here on average 7/8times a year. Theres a lack of customer service from the front desk.. Im not expecting red carpet, but like in this instance, no hot water (or warm water would be good)offering a room change would have been tremendous and appreciated. I canceled the second week of this stay. Disappointing. Hope people can learn how to improve the service.
Location
No hot water
Beautiful family run hotel in a great area.
Large bedrooms and bathrooms.
Balcony available with both rooms.
Asked for rooms together but on opposite sides of hotel.
One room on "sea" side; Other room on "Church" side - not good with the bells going off every 15 minutes.
Ceiling fans in both rooms - worked, yes but they were either on or off - no inbetween.
