Not Worthy of a Five-Star Hotel
Cons:

I booked a two-night stay through Booking.com with a package that included breakfast and dinner.

When I arrived at the hotel very late, around 11:30 PM, the receptionist immediately commented that there seemed to be a mistake in the Booking.com rate because, according to him, it was impossible for the hotel to provide both breakfast and dinner at that price. I replied that this was not my responsibility and that any issue with the reservation should be discussed directly with Booking.com.

The following evening, I went to the restaurant expecting the dinner included in my reservation. Instead, I was treated in a way that I found disrespectful and highly unprofessional. The restaurant manager and a staff member informed me that the only meal they could offer was a plate of spaghetti and a salad. When I asked whether this was the standard dinner served to guests, they admitted that it was not, but claimed that this was all they could provide based on the Booking.com reservation.

I immediately contacted Booking.com, and they confirmed that they had placed no restrictions whatsoever on the type of dinner the hotel should provide. The meal was supposed to be offered according to the hotel’s normal dinner service, not replaced by a minimal alternative.

It became clear that the hotel was attempting to reduce the service included in my reservation rather than honor the booking. I chose to leave the restaurant without having dinner because I did not accept being treated this way.

What disappointed me most was not the meal itself, but the attitude. This level of service reflects a lack of professionalism, respect for guests, and accountability. It is simply not the standard one would expect from a five-star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects the level of service that a five-star rating is supposed to guarantee.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone for its wonderfully calm, beautiful location.
Pros:

I would have liked some English style bacon. Otherwise very good.

Cons:

The keen selling of the hop on hop off bus on arrival made us buy tickets, but I'm not sure I would recommend the service. The U bahn would be better, quicker and cheaper.

Fantastic location, fabulous hotel
Pros:

So close and within walking distance to so many remarkable sights eg, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Gendarmenmarkt, Checkpoint Charlie. Very friendly and helpful concierge, drink station upon entry in the hot weather, large bedroom, large bathroom, excellent breakfast. It was excellent.

Cons:

Our room.looked put on to some restoration going on at a church. Tha could not be helped.
