Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted.

Car Park Notice: Kindly be informed that effective 7th Apr 2023, Level 3A & 3B parking bays are reserved exclusively for hotel guests. All guests checking into the hotel MUST REGISTER at the reception counter at the lobby before entering these floors in order to enjoy the RM 10 per stay. Alternatively, hotel guests may park at Level 7 & 8 which are complimentary. Level 4 to 6 parking lots are fully managed by The Shore Shopping Gallery and chargeable on hourly and daily basis.

Breakfast : Buffet breakfast will be charge as following (Unless is selected room & breakfast option). Mon to Sun & Public Holiday: MYR 30+ per adult and MYR 25+ per child (aged 5 to 12 years old)

Please be advised that each room reservation(breakfast included rates) includes breakfast for TWO GUESTS ONLY. Any additional breakfasts can be arranged upon check-in.

Pros:

I like that the buffet breakfast is from 7 up until 12, allowing ample time for diners to enjoy their meal.

Cons:

We had to wait a while for the queue to subside before it was our turn to get a table.

It was a pleasant stay for us and we may want to repeat coming there again

The best
Pros:

I've stayed here so many time. The best. Everything is perfect.

Cons:

I wasn't aware the kids pool is under maintenance. But its ok. I'll bring my son again next time..

Pros:

The staff were extremely helpful and very polite. The hotel bed and pillows were very comfortable. Cleanliness levels were great. Lovely views of Malacca river from the rooms. Good spread for the breakfast buffet, though a little more variation from day to day would have been nice.

Cons:

The sliding shower door was very stiff and the plastic lining was flimsy and falling off. But otherwise the bathroom was clean and well maintained.

Overall, good stay.
Pros:

The room is spacious and equipped with a two-seater sofa, desk and chair as a work station (all other equipment is similar to other hotels).

Cons:

The shower room drainage is slow, make it the shower room easily flooded while taking a bath.

Nice stay, some issues
Pros:

Located reasonablely close to the main tourist attractions, 15-20 minute walk to most things we wanted to see. Rooms were clean and comfortable, cleaned daily if needed and tea/coffee/water replenished. Our room was on 22nd floor and we found it mostly quiet. I don't think many people were on the same floor and no one in the adjoining rooms, so this probably made things quieter for our stay.

Cons:

Rooms are not sound proof. Although most of the time it was quiet, you can still hear noise from outside, even on the 22nd floor. My friend was woken by the call to prayer from the nearby mosque each morning, so if you are a light sleeper noise might be a problem. The kids pool was closed during our stay, but I can see how it would be loud when it is open.
The hotel is quite rundown in general, it seems that it was once lovely but has had no maintenance carried out since it opened. The pools have a few tiles missing here and there, sunloungers very worn and some unusable. The light switches in our room either didn't work, or switched on multiple lights at once in an order that made no sense at all. One over bed light with light switch. Another did the over bed light plus the main light.
We generally enjoyed our stay, we mostly stayed in guesthouses and hostels on this trip, so this hostel was nice enough for us for 3 nights. If you wanted an upmarket hotel for a week or two, maybe it would be disappointing.

net en schoon hotel, net iets te ver van het centrum en te ver van het busstation
Pros:

Grote ontbijthal, met erg ruim aanbod van voedsel, zowel warm als koud. Vruchtsappen kwalitatief goed. 24-uurs receptie met vriendelijk personeel.

Cons:

Onduidelijk op het moment dat je de torenflat uitkomt welke kant je op moet om het historische centrum van Malakka te bereiken. Ook ver van het busstation als je met OV komt of weggaat, zodat taxi nodig is.
