Overcharged…check your bill
Pros:

Overcharged for drinks at the Cherry Blossom restaurant. Drinks should have totalled £9 from the drinks menus on the table, but was charged £10 at the bar. When I queried this I was told that the prices changed “a month or so ago” and was told sorry and the drinks menu was taken from me.

A short while later, another member of staff came to our table to apologise and put a refund for the overcharge to my card. They mentioned that this wasn’t the first time that this issue had been raised and management were aware but his hands were tied. It was also acknowledged that this was illegal

It’s a lovely place but this would put me off returning. There were a lot of different menus on the table so how many of those were showing wrong prices?

Note to the owners… don’t update your tills until the menus on the tables have been updated., or remove the menus from the tables.

Clammy visit with great staff and amazing food. Happy I didn’t lose my exhaust on the way in & out.
Pros:

Rooms are ok. But very warm.

Cons:

Very stuffy room even with window wide open. No information about anything, including how to work the shower ( which is great when yo figure it out) what time is breakfast, if there is one. Nothing about the area, where to go etc. Pot holes in the car park are more like craters. Worry when you park anything other than a tractor!

Pros:

Lovely hotel, clean and very welcoming and helpful staff.

Cons:

One issue only. I was rudely awakened at 6.30am by the bin men. I realise emptying the bins is a necessary job but at 6.30am at a hotel!? The lorry was literally under my bedroom window. It won't stop me using the hotel again but I will ask for a room away from the bin collection point.

You get what you pay for
Pros:

Restaurant was lovely and food was good.
Staff were very friendly.
Rooms were clean, tidy and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

Potholes all over the drive way.
No one at reception as only 2 staff members on and trying to run the restaurant.
No separate bar. Restaurant closed at 9pm.
Room was far too hot and fan didn’t help.
They have spent money on some uogrades: bathroom new and tiles but old grubby, cracked tiles on the floor, far too much old fashioned furniture in the rooms.

Pros:

Fantastic hotel with great rooms and food. Highly recommend the breakfasts. Massive thanks to Colin who kindly drove us to the wedding we were attending due to our taxi not showing up.

My stay was pleasant and comfortable.
Pros:

I stayed for a few nights as a solo traveller. I felt safe getting back to the hotel late in the evenings. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were pleasant and friendly. I didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food. I'll definitely stay again when I'm back in that area in a few months.
