A great Welsh welcome. Room and services all as advertised.
Pros:

A great Welsh welcome. Room and services all as advertised and we appreciated the re-arranging of rooms they did for us following an issue with a previous guest. Would return when we come back to the Brecon Beacons.

Pros:

Location

Cons:

Definitely not 4 star as advertised, no hot water, miserable staff at breakfast. Was charged £10 extra for breakfast which included a toaster and a bit of fruit. Definitely wouldn't recommend or stay again.

Fine for a one night stay to see the area.
Pros:

The location was great! It had a charming small village vibe. The staff were friendly. Enjoyed the food there.

Cons:

The shower ran freezing cold for 10 minutes then when the hot finally came through it was boiling hot and the temperature could not be turned down. One bath towel had a strong yellow solid stain on it. The bed springs were very noticeable when laid on and creaked with every movement.

Nice hotel, but stay marred by plumbing issues which I hope will be rectified before long.
Pros:

Nice traditional hotel. Very clean room, nice staff and good quality (if not cheap) breakfast. Plenty of parking, and attractive outdoor area to sit in on a warm evening.

Cons:

Very noisy plumbing system, which woke us up whenever someone in the building ran water. Also, and probably related to the same issue, no hot water in the shower. Reported this on checking out and don't think the response ( "oh, that's been an ongoing problem ") was really adequate. Having said that, I suppose it would be unusual for a hotel to advertise that patrons would be enjoying a cold shower after their disturbed night's sleep!

Pros:

Pros:

Lovely location, friendly staff and delicious fleshly prepared breakfast

Good location, friendly, excellent food, room small -bathroom tired.
Pros:

Staff excellent-very friendly and helpful.
Dinner -excellent -taste, quantity and value for money.
Breakfast wasn't included in our price £90 so we bought yogurt and fruit from across the road. (very early start on 2nd morning so we couldn't have breakfast)

Cons:

Perhaps provide a fan in the summer. Window too high for us to reach easily to open/close.
Bathroom a bit tired-needs a facelift. Move the toilet roll holder -cant reach it over my shoulder. Toilet seat loose.
Room -bit cramped as room door bangs into the bed. Wardrobe too big for space-couldn't open the doors properly.
No chair to sit on only stools with loose legs or the bed.

The Stable Rooms
Pros:

The breakfast and restaurant were great. The staff were lovely and really helpful.

Cons:

We were originally placed in a room outside in what they call The Stable. There were a couple of things eg dust, out of date milk sachets, and the TV didn't work.
The main problem was no hot water for a shower in the morning. I don't like hot showers but couldn't get anything other than absolutely freezing. We went to reception who seemed to know there were issues with getting hot water to the external building and suggested many things to try, including leaving the hot sink tap running to get the water through, which I had actually already tried, as well as getting up at 6 am or having a shower later in the day. I was furious and said that I didn't come away to get up at 6 am and didn't realise expecting hot water to shower was an optional extra.

That being said, I can't fault the staff as they did listen and said they had taken the room out of circulation.

Again, I can't fault the staff as they did the right thing and upgraded us and provided much larger and better accommodation than booked, so thank you.
