Really nice breakfast, with variety.
Friendly helpful staff & cleaners.
Afternoon coffee & cookies.
Bright reception lounge area.

Cons:

Quite outdated decor.
Stained curtains. Carpets need a deep cleaning.
Quite pricey for a room looking out into a dark alley.
Only a few sea facing, bright rooms.
No ramp at hotel entrance, no help with bags up steep staircase.
Definitely not 4 star, more 3.5

Pros:

The location of the property was wonderful, making the palace and major sights easily walkable. The hotel staff were exceptionally attentive, knowledgeable, and hard-working. When our bathroom sink clogged, a staff member arrived immediately and replaced the pipe, fixing the issue within 20 minutes. The same gentleman also helped clear breakfast tables and tend to the outdoor flowers, showing an incredible work ethic shared by the entire team. Additionally, the breakfast buffet featured a great variety of fresh food, local delicacies, and excellent coffee, which we thoroughly enjoyed throughout our stay.

Cons:

We enjoyed the spacious room, but the shower setup could use improvement. Due to the room's design, the shower curtain didn't reach edge-to-edge, and minimal floor slope led to water pooling around the toilet. Having to wipe up the floor and use a squeegee to clear water after every shower wasn't ideal, even though I recognize the unique layout limits full coverage options.
It was a shame that the pillows had a persistent musty smell. Swapping them for fresh pillowcases didn't help, as the odor was coming from the pillow itself.

Tolle Tage in Stockholm
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage, gemütliche Betten, sehr leckeres und vielfältiges Frühstücksbüffet, Nachmittags Kaffe / Tee und Gebäck. Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffee auf dem Zimmer.

Cons:

Bei offenem Fenster etwas laut, dh Ohropax ist sinnvoll dabei zu haben, wenn man einen leichten Schlaf hat.

Lovely staff and food. It’s a historic building on the original settlement. You can’t beat the location and history!

No AC, a bit loud with the windows open. It’s a bit of a maze due to the age/historic nature of the building(s). If you’re not aware it’s a little bit of an adjustment.

Disappointing for a 4-star hotel
Pros:

The location was excellent, right in Gamla Stan and within walking distance of many of Stockholm’s main sights.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the room had a very strong and unpleasant smell of cleaning products, which made it uncomfortable to stay in.

The bathroom was also quite noisy. A drain pipe from the neighbouring room apparently runs through our bathroom, so whenever the neighbours used water, we could clearly hear it gurgling through the pipe.

The biggest disappointment was breakfast: I found a hair in my omelette. After that, I simply didn’t feel like continuing my breakfast.

Taken together, these issues were not what we expected from a 4-star hotel, especially considering the price.
