Motel 6 Newport News, VA – Fort Eustis

Several things! 1. Handicap room. No rail in bathroom by toilet. There was a hole in the floor where there should have been one,and a damaged wall where it had been.
2. The toilet seat was loose.
3. Dirty edge on the baseboard. I spilled my water glass. Wiping it up and discovered the discoloration on the top of the baseboard was dust, unwiped for months!
4. Light fixture above sink inoperative
5. Dust cover for the exhaust vent was nasty
6. No electrical sockets in bathroom
7. Light fixture on left side of bed inoperable
8. Outlets on the left side of the bed non functioning
9 No sitting chair in room
10. Fridge freezer needs defrosted badly
11. Sight glass in door plugged with a wadded up piece of paper
12. Stayed Tuesday - Saturday and room was not serviced one time the entire length of stay
13. Bed was hard as a rock firm
14. No iron or board in room

A lot of drug activity in the area. WiFi wouldn’t connect. Hot water in shower doesn’t last long. Room didn’t have A/C on inside previously booked room. Took hours to cool down. Room has damaged doors on entrance and inside bathroom. Very low level experience.

They can do a little better with the cleaning

Sometimes the rooms give that dingy look, Idk if you guys know what I mean. It doesn’t look all the way beat down but It will definitely trigger you if you have ocd and/or just a clean freak hahaha. The flat pillows don’t help & most times there’s burn marks in the covers 🙁… they gotta get those potholes filled!!!

We were in a non-smoking room and I noticed a few smoke burns on the blankets, but they were not bad to the point that we could not sleep with those blankets. Also, the TV channels were not pretty. The remote would not let us put in three digits for a channel so we were stuck watching two digit or one digit channels, even though there is an option for three digit channels on their channel list. Also, the channels kept bugging out. Really bad satellite service.

The beds were very stiff and the pillows were very flat. I was a good amount of pain and had a hard time sleeping.

The walls could use some work. Maybe some new paint to make it look a little better.

Very run down with a few updates, the room we stayed in smelled like smoke, I did let the person know and they offered air fresheners. The other room we rented the bathroom door was in very bad shape looks as if someone left a dog and they tour it apart.

There is no stove to cook on but that’s fine

The deadbolt did not work, the toilet got stuck and would not throw water out, first thing they mentioned was that this was the only room available, as a take or leave it kind.
