Staff, location, and room
The bed was a bit uncomfortable. The potholes in the parking lot could use some attention.
It had a roof, and I wasn’t sleeping on the streets
There was zero circulation in the room. We were sweating or freezing - absolutely no in between. When we tried to just turn the thermostat off all together, the room was so musty.
Now for the worst past. We had our room cleaned ONE TIME. Here’s why. The morning after I took out my brush to do my hair and there were two very dark brown hairs wound around my brush. We had put EVERYTHING away when the room was to be cleaned. So here’s the deal my hair is platinum. Like if it were anymore blonde it would be cotton. Now, it’s not so much that I can’t sanitize my brush, it’s that someone has gone through our things. I feel violated a bit. We had some personal things in there. I should also mention that there were pieces of dirt were left on the bathroom floor so that wasn’t even cleaned while they were in there!
Oh and the hotel is in a flood zone. And, the King tide came in. It would have been helpful to know the flood zone part before we booked. I do not recommend staying at the you might need a privacy lock, waders, and a psychologist to stay here hotel.

The room was too warm for sleeping. Air duct blew black dust on pillows on right side everyday. Shower door didn’t shut. Told front desk about all of this first night . Plus dead bolt on door was broken. The people were lovely. Room was lacking. Location was great .

Breakfast set-up staff were unfriendly. Breakfast variety was on the weak side. The room was small and lacked a microwave despite being across the street from a grocery store and having a fridge.

Our stay here was great. This was for our wedding anniversary and the staff did a great job helping us celebrate it and make it special.

We were in room 332. There was loud TV noise & snoring noise coming into our room, presumably from room 333. It was as if they were in the room with us. Appears to be a sound insulation issue where sound had easy access into our room through a vent or gap in wall/ceiling
Loved the ability to pre-check in and leave our bags which were delivered to room while we explored city a bit. Loved welcome drink, sound machine, black out curtains and room was quiet. Also, great water pressure in shower.
Noticed some stains and a hair on sheets when getting ready for bed. Breakfast needs a few more options. Also, $23 for an old fashioned in bar seemed excessive.
Location was excellent. Staff was super nice, helpfull and attentive. They made stay in Charleston amazing. Rooms with amazing design and ergonomics, superclean.
The only developmental comment: breakfasts! Space was to tight, we had problem in finding sitting place once. And maybe variety of food. Considering that Charleston is great food place so not a big deal.

A bit of a sewer smell on the second level. We also had drafts of cigarette smoke at night, but we truly loved the property and would stay there again!
