In for one night due to weather , was a well set up tidy friendly place, seemed handy to things so all good. will stay there again when down with wife. Most motels up here are now run by people who don't speak english ( god knows how they are getting in) and essentially don't give a damn so you won't lose with your approach.
we had been freediving all around South island so didn't go to beach
nothing to say here, bbq was good too!
Nice little studio next with easy access from the road, carpark just outside. Comfortable bed and good shower.
It was really appreciated that the heating & lights where on when we arrived, as we where on a late flight and the office was closed “thank you”

There was no window covering on the kitchen window which allowed the neibouring motel rooms full visibility into our kitchen. Disappointing. I had to get dressed when the light was on.

Room was great , had everything we needed for 2 nights, good parking spaces, wifi, comfortable beds, spa bath, had full sky tv which was great for the kids at night time/morning. Nice big windows, plenty of blankets/pillows
The bathroom could use some doing up, the shower drain was broken so had to remove the cover to let water drain, shower plastic around the doors were yellow and damaged and the floor had the starts of cracks and the mixer was very touchy for hot/warm/cold we just had to use it on full hot or it was just luke warm. 1 jet in the bath was broken as well.
Great location and price
The location to the beach was awesome. It was handy to eating places and central to the city and surrounding suburbs.
We found it a little bit noisy - possibly due to where our unit was situated- voices of people talking outside seem to carry Our unit was upstairs and comfortable,but we felt a bit exposed. People were able to see in our windows from the ground plus from adjacent units. We did have some concern about lack of security latches on the windows.
