The unit was very large and spacious which made our stay very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen & bathroom.

Location is good. Very close from Tahunanui beach. Perhaps because it was the school holidays, the accommodation provided welcome treats for the children, which they really enjoyed.
This was by far the worst accommodation we stayed at during our trip around New Zealand.
We booked the Family Suites (Rooms 701 and 702) for two nights. Unfortunately, there were problems from the moment we arrived. There were cobwebs around the light fixture above the double bed, and one of the bathroom windows in Room 701 had a broken opening mechanism. We opened it during the day, but when the temperature dropped at night, it was extremely difficult to close. The panel heater in Room 702 was covered in dust, as if it had not been cleaned for a long time, and the carpets were the dirtiest we encountered in any accommodation during our trip.
The most serious issue happened on our first night. We returned to the motel around 8:00 p.m. after sightseeing and having dinner, only to discover that there was no hot water. On top of that, the kitchen bench was covered with ants.
When we reported the problems, we were told that someone would spray for the ants. Regarding the hot water, we were informed that there were no other Family Suites available, so we were offered the key to the room next door so that we could use its shower instead.
However, it was a cold evening, and we were travelling with young children, my elderly mother, and all of our luggage. Carrying everything back and forth between rooms just to shower was simply not practical. I asked whether we could receive a refund and leave that night instead, but I was told that the staff could not make that decision. I was advised to speak with the manager, but then I was told it was a public holiday and the owners were away travelling and could not be contacted.
Although we accepted the key to the neighbouring room, the situation was so inconvenient that none of us showered that night. We had no choice but to go to bed feeling uncomfortable after a long day.
I was extremely upset and sent a detailed message that evening explaining everything that had happened.
