Excellent relaxed stay
Pros:

It was a really impressive and very comfortable place to stay. The accommodation was exceptionally clean, well equipped, and had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed throughout our visit.

The location was also excellent — within walking distance to Tahunanui Beach and nearby attractions such as Natureland Wildlife Trust. The friendly atmosphere and convenience made the experience even better.

We would definitely book this place again without any hesitation whenever we visit Nelson in the future.

Fantastic location, comfortable room, lovely spa bath in the room.

Cons:

We had some minor trouble adjusting the temperature of the shower, it was very abrupt from lukewarm to very hot. Also, the shower was quite slow to drain, so you end up standing in a couple of inches of water.
They're not major issues, more just things to be aware of.

Great location, parks, beach, pubs and cafes. Kids loved the pool and the room was a great size

Great location, but has problems.
Pros:

The location is good, with the beach within walking distance. There was ample parking. The staff are friendly and helpful. I was given an early check in without any problem.

Cons:

The beds were too soft. With a bad back, I almost couldn't get up on the second day, and I had to sleep on the carpet for three of the four nights.
The shower mixer didn't work. Normally one can choose the pressure and temperature. The shower had only a choice of temperature. The choice was scalding or freezing. The staff finally helped me to figure it out (sort of). With the setting at extreme cold, I got hot(ish) water.
The biggest problem was that the toilet was not properly scrubbed. This is really unacceptable.
