Lovely stay with brilliant staff.
Pros:

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. With excellent views from the room. We ate in the restaurant and the staff were lovely.Reilly the bartender was excellent, he knew what drinks to recommend and what food to eat. Katie and Ellie were very nice and pleasant and made sure are meals were going down well.
Overall the experience was lovely and we will be back again.

A hotel with a sense of history and loyalty to Cornwall.
Pros:

Great location and the newly refurbished room was unique and comfortable.

Cons:

The rest of the hotel however is looking very tired and in need of refurbishment.

Etwas müde, in den Jahren gekommenes Hotel. Wir würden wahrscheinlich nicht nochmals dort hingehen.
Pros:

Betten waren bequem, Zimmer ruhig. Personal Reception freundlich aber wenig hilfreich (siehe unten).

Cons:

Kein Telefon im Zimmer obwohl gemäss Werbung hätte sein sollen. Wir fragten Reception Personal nach einem Busfahrplan; Antwort vom Personal: "Haben wir nicht, aber wenn sie einen finden, bringen sie mir einen mit".

Not so Great Western
Pros:

The location was good because we had a sea view, the hotel was family friendly,

Cons:

The room was clean but the window vents were filthy, the shower was very old and had a rusty curtain pole, the bath tiles was in need of a wipe down. The TV was an old free view and was hanging precariously by a dodgy bracket. Also there was not oat milk available.

Pros:

Fantastic beachfront location. Wonderful breakfast and top notch staff.

Cons:

My room had a pungent musty smell you noticed every time you went in but dissipated after a few minutes of being in the room.

Wow Great hotel, Great accommodation, great staff
Pros:

New refurbished room was very impressive, and at a great price Parking was a breeze, but must book in advance. Staff were very professional, with a friendly air of politeness and relax conversation as we were served, giving the bar and Restaurant a great Atmosphere.
The breakfast and indeed every meal we had at the hotel was excellent. Served hot, well presented and very tasty. The bar garden had stunning sea views. with sandy beach either side of the hotel. With only a short leisurely stroll into the town centre. which is a bonus being away from the Hussle and bussle of the town nightlife, but easy reach if you want to join in.
Every area used by guests was extremely clean and well managed. Tables cleared swiftly and efficiently. No waiting for somewhere to sit.
Based on my stay , If you in the area on a holiday, short break or even a business trip I highly recommend the Greats Western Hotel.

Would visit for a drink but wouldn’t stay again.
Pros:

Great views. Lovely helpful reception staff
Rooms newly refurbished and comfortable

Cons:

Very busy, Quite unhelpful bar staff, didn’t end up eating there. Very noisy at night and early morning, slamming doors, running up and down stairs etc.

Had a wonderful 4days break
Pros:

We stayed in a wonderful room with views over looking the beach from 3 windows amazing .
5 minutes from the beach .
All in all we had a wonderful holiday and shall definitely be going back .
