Facilities did not work , no kettle , no coffee machine
We received an email shortly before our arrival telling us that we had to pick up the keys at a different location. We had already parked in a paid parking lot nearby, which was stressful and cost us extra money. When we arrived at the check-in location, we had to wait for more than an hour in a very small lobby together with many other hotel guests before we could check in. The only receptionist was doing her best and remained professional throughout, but it was clear that one person simply could not handle the number of guests. I don't understand why the hotel didn't provide a second receptionist. To make matters worse, we were asked to provide our credit card details in a way that would not be acceptable under European data protection standards. We were told this was normal in Canada, but it made us very uncomfortable. After a long journey we were exhausted, and this was by far the worst hotel check-in experience we have ever had. Unfortunately, it had a very negative impact on the start of our vacation, and it left us with a poor first impression of Ottawa.

This stay exceeded my expectations and was excellent value for money. The room was spacious, with a private bathroom and toilet. Everything was very clean, including the bed sheets, and having free parking on the premises was a great bonus. The neighbourhood was quiet, making it a comfortable place to relax.
When I first arrived, there was an issue because the property was fully booked and my reservation had been cancelled. However, the staff handled the situation exceptionally well. They were genuinely apologetic, offered me a discount, and worked quickly to find a solution. Their professionalism and kindness made a stressful situation much easier.
A special thank you to the dark-skinned French receptionist at Les Victoria, where I collected the keys. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Her customer service was exceptional.
Overall, I would rate my stay 10/10. If I visit Ottawa again, I would happily stay here again at this price. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodation. I already referred two people there.
The location was great, super close to quite a few different places (LeBreton Flats, the War Museum, the History Museum, some beautiful art pieces you could walk to, etc.) and there were many amenities within the hotel room. Really great price overall for what you get in the room.
It was really noisy at night and it was hard to keep the temperature down in the bedroom, even with the extremely noisy fan. Additionally, the bed wasn't that comfy and the pillows weren't very good either. Additionally, even with the blinds shut and lights off, the room was still very bright at night.

Check-in and check-out were smooth. The place is clean.
The airconditioner was not working. We were sweating and woke up multiple time because of the heat. Reported to the front desk where we got our keys, but told me that she can't do anything about it because she's alone. It was very uncomfortable and very inconvenient on our side.
