Motel 6-Lincoln City, OR

Definitely not a hotel I will ever go back to. The desk staff was terrible and the lobby smelled like weed. One dude was just constantly high out of his mind. And this is the guy that was checking people in, I barely understood what he was even saying. The elevator was grungy and reminded me of one in downtown Portland, Oregon, the ice machine on the third floor was broken, our room was disgusting with leftover hair and garbage. There is nothing to wash your hair or body with besides one tiny prepackaged soap. The bed was awful. Cobwebs all over the walls, there is no coffee pot. And the floor was extremely sticky. People yelling throughout the night coming home drunk from the bar. I definitely do not recommend this unless it’s a last resort for anyone.

The bedspreads had holes ans some kind of stain. At 1200am I heard a couple yelling but they stopped after a bit. Some highway noise on room 101.

The rooms and hallways smelled bad; they don't provide basic amenities like shampoo or a hair dryer. It was a bad experience.

The air conditioning would not shut off . Went to the front desk to ask if I was doing something wrong and immediately he came and showed me how. However he couldn’t get it off either but he fixed it there on the spot. Great job again, you know most places would not do that .

When I arrived they couldn't find my reservation. They were going to charge me $51 which was $10 less than I paid. Then he found the reservation. My name appeared as my first name twice.

The floors were dirty. We spilled water on the floor and when we wiped it up, the wet paper towel was black. It was also noisy, we were waken multiple times. No place for our dogs to go to the bathroom except a neighboring property that said no trespassing.

The floor needed cleaned or mopped. They were hard wood floors. Only 2 towels. Smelled somewhat of smoke.

Sometimes I feel like the rooms booked through 3rd parties are not given the best rooms... in regards to nearness to the elevator, front door, ice machines or right off the lobby. I travel quite a bit and have noticed this in other hotels as well. But I really wish that hotel owners/desk/staff would understand that we are spending money in their establishment and we should be treated just the same as those that book directly with the hotel. Case in point: we were given the room next to the lobby, elevator, busy and noisy area.The fan in the bathroom did not work and the steam set off the smoke alarm. It was not unknown when we asked to be moved, response was to just open the bathroom window. hmmm. We moved farther down the hallway much quieter.. Thank You.

I wish they’d consider putting all guests with pets on top floor not the main floor because entering and leaving the smell was REALLY suffocating and probably very triggering to those with more sensitive allergies. I’m glad they’re pet friendly but it was too humid and smelly to keep them in an area everyone has to travel (felt like I was going to a groomers not a hotel).
