Pros:

The room was spacious and clean. The beds were a little hard. Breakfast was decent.

Pros:

The room was huge, very clean and comfortable.
The view over the lake towards SF was stunning.
Given how close it was to a highway, it was pretty quiet and we weren't disturbed at all.
Was great having hot drinks available all the time in the foyer.
Parking was plentiful and right next to the hotel.

Cons:

The breakfast was extremely disappointing. I've never stayed at a US hotel (or any hotel!) and not had either bacon or sausage available at breakfast! In fact, it was the worst breakfast I've had at a hotel anywhere in the world! Only hot options were scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy. And not much of it. A waffle machine was available but the 30min wait to use it wasn't very appealing. Cold options were a couple of types of cereal, apples and oranges. The plates were either paper or plastic and the cutlery was an inconsistent mix of plastic, carboard and metal. I've never eaten with a plastic knife and paper fork before! Given the room rate (which was inclusive of breakfast), this experience was very disappointing. I've stayed at Best Western's in various countries and the breakfasts have all been excellent. However, it didn't ruin my stay but this is why it isn't getting a higher rating.
