The Vagabond Hotel Miami

Great hotel. Clean, excellent coffee, and a great pool. Lots of good food in the immediate walking area.

We had a great short experience at The Vagabond. We were five sisters and our mom, all flying to take a cruise the next day. The rooms were clean and unique. Plenty of room. The pool was beautiful. Service at the front desk was extremely accommodating. We walked to a nice dinner, so location was appreciated. Overall, would definitely recommend.

We had a great stay at the Vagabond and would absolutely stay again. It's been beautifully restored and the rooms are well kept with huge comfy beds. As previous reviewers have mentioned the staff are lovely. Very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Linda who looked after reception in the evenings. Housekeeping was to a very high standard and the AC was top notch. Essential in the Summer. The pool area was a real bonus and despite being on Biscayne Blvd, you could hardly hear the road. Same went for the rooms which were super quiet at night. We chose this part of town for better value and weren't disappointed. There are lots of places to eat within a 2-3 block walk which is a bonus for a city that is built for the car! It's a lovely low rise part of the city and it's clear that there has been investment in the neighbourhood. Alternatively North Beach is a 13 minute drive for a wider choice of bars and restaurants with nearby parking for $1 an hour.

The location is super handy for public transport and Uber and there are some great eateries nearby. The Caracas bakery and Doggis Venezuelan restaurant are within a 50 meter walk.
Bayside park is 25 minutes away by public bus
We’ll definitely stay here when next in Miami

We booked this hotel for one night during the FIFA WC match. It was great for the price point. The staff are very friendly and the pool area is really nice. Our only issue was the noise level. The walls are thin, so we could hear people at 2:15 am who were outside by the pool (even though we were at the very end of the hall). We heard very loud music again at 8:30am, so we didn't get a lot of sleep. Overall everything was clean and accommodating. If we stayed again, we would request a quieter area.

The style of decor and all the facilities were very cool with the retro mid century design theme. My wife really enjoyed it and the pool area was beautiful and so tropical and well maintained. The staff was attentive and responsive when we noticed that the ceiling fan was hanging too low. We moved to a new room easily.

What a find this hotel was. We had a car but didn’t want to use in Miami and this hotel was perfect for that. Free parking, a beautiful pool area and modern clean and spacious rooms. Downtown Miami is a short bus ride from just outside the hotel and South Beach is also manageable by public transport or approx $25 Uber. Lovely area to stay in with lots of restaurants and amenities nearby .

This was probably the 10th time we've stayed at The Vagabond, so time to update first review. My son's family lives a few blocks from the Vagabond, so it's very convenient for us when we visit. We love the hotel. All the essentials...clean, friendly staff, nice updated rooms, big sparkling-clean pool. On top of that it's really cool, with lots of Rat-pack era nostalgia. Having this hotel available to us has really enhanced our family visits. Fancy high rises are great, and we often stay at them, but the Vagabond is a great change, and we really enjoy staying there.
