Perfect location. Lovely decor inside. Spotlessly clean.
Small double bed. Not allowed to run a tab when eating/ drinking in the bar.
We had a wonderful overnight stay. The location is beautiful and we enjoyed a walk on the pebble beach. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had a very tasty steak for dinner. The waitress was very friendly and took time to chat as she worked. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would recommend it and plan to return.

Food options where very limited and endup spending more money out side and spending time to look what's available to dine around.
Coffee and Breakfast also not upto the quality.

Plenty of parking.
Breakfast was poor - coffee was cold, no choice of bread (2 out of 3 mornings), non-cooked breakfast generally inadequate. Window in room could not be closed when weather turned rainy and cold.

The wifi was terrible and the room was a bit dingy, the bathroom window had no curtain, was ground level and the shower was right beside so only frosted glass maintaining your privacy, food was mediocre

Second time I've stayed at Ardencaple. Both times excellent. Room very comfortable and clean.
I didn't have opportunity to take advantage of the dinner, but the menu looked decent. The breakfast was excellent - great choice of cooked food and cold buffet, and with a wonderful view over the water. Perfect place to stay while I'm in the area (annually).
My key to the main door didn't work when I returned late, but the night manager came to the door promptly when hailed and let me in with a smile. That was my only issue.

Didn't got the room I've booked. I booked a family room with a normal bathroom. Ended up in a room with a bathroom for wheelchairs. Nothing comfortable when you are 1.90 high.
There was also a lot of dust everywhere. Spiderwebs, like in the breakfast room.
Food was ok. Burger to well done. Still waiting for the coffee we ordered.
And to be honest, didn't feel welcome by the host by checking in.
So for this price and our experience it is a no go.
The rooms have recently been renovated, so were in great condition. The restaurant food was very good.

Reasonable room size
The shower was full of mould and flaking paint, to the paint where it's probably a health hazard. I was ignored at the check in desk for about 10 minutes, i rang the bell twice but i just heard some office staff giggling and having a chuckle in the office room while i waited...
