A very disappointing stay in Bristol.
Pros:

The location was excellent, close to a bus route , a pleasant street.

Cons:

We were very disappointed in this stay. The building is old but needs some serious updating.The small room on the top floor smelt musty, the bathroom leaked water on the floor, no toilet brush, shower temperature was variable, our room was not what was shown in the photograph on booking confirmation which had 2 windows, city view. Our room faced an alleyway wall. The staff interactions were mixed. We had a good check-in but the rest was substandard. Whilst we were late (0900) to breakfast one morning we were told it was fine but staff then proceeded to sit and chat to friend whilst there was no coffee made, no bread for toast. We did have to pay for this . We appreciate that students enjoy the bar scene here but it felt like we were being penalized for being too old for the place.

Very Nice Hotel, old style, great atmosphere 10 minutes walk from city center, great Pub downstairs with pool and other games, nice garden outside were you can have a beautiful time in a sunny day, very gentle staff, recommend if you coming in Bristol

Pros:

Staff were lovely, really helpful. Location is great, breakfast was nice and the bar was decent

Cons:

The room was so tired. Needed painting, damp on the walls, mould in the bathroom, actual holes in the carpet. Bed was so uncomfortable

Overall good stay
Pros:

Staff friendly, room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good 👍

Cons:

Could do with a bit ot tlc, some wall sockets not fully secure in wall and some parts of wall could do with a lick of paint.

Don`t want to leave a negative review but others have informed you of similar issues.
Pros:

only had the cornflakes, location no issues, room needs a total transformation, money spent on it big time

Cons:

very noisy outside. tv on the wall only just, very small, could live with it but on an angle , needs attention.
