Pros:

Walking distance to the Avon Theatre and restaurants.

Cons:

The host was inhospitable. We were expected after a matinee and arrived shortly after the power went out across town. Others arrived at the same time. It was dark and there was no one to greet us and show us to our rooms. We called and searched for the host and he didn't show up for several minutes. And he was grumpy. The same thing happened to other arrivals.
We went out and when the power came back on three hours later, I texted him to ask if he could turn on the AC in our room. No response and no AC when we returned.

Lovely and unique in and very friendly hosts and a great property.
Pros:

It had a lot of charm and nice touches, a billiard room, reading room with a fireplace and coffee room in the morning. Little bookshelves throughout and coffee stations, fridges, water, glasses etc on every floor.
Rooms were small but very comfortable and surprisingly quiet for a full house. Never heard another guest in the halls or stairs.
Staff was lovely though we didn’t receive any response from our texts about a lost key and voicemails were all full. Everything worked out though.

Cons:

Parking was very tight and over full as one of the last cars to return we had trouble Maneuvering around all the otter cars and the back lot was not well lit and very hard to see. That’s about the only negative.

Would not recommend it - nor would we book again.
Pros:

There was no breakfast!!! Pictures showed a dining room but there was never any food available! Coffee in the morning was available in a self-serve method. Very disappointed.

Cons:

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. That is the only positive thing about it. The inn is run down and we had to hunt for a glass to brush our teeth. There wasn't one in the room - also no tissues or any other expected supplies.

I tried multiple times in multiple ways to get in touch with the caretakers, including using the email and phone number they sent to me when I made the booking, and they did not respond. I even showed up a few days early and found no one on site, although the front door was left unlocked. I needed to change the date of my reservation by one day. I could see on Booking.com that they had vacancies, but I was unable to speak with anyone who could change the date of my booking.

L'établissement et sa situation sont excellentes, mais difficile de communiquer avec le personnel.
Pros:

Bien situé, tranquil, pas dérangé.

Cons:

Impossibilité de communiquer avec le personnel. Il nous manquait la clef de l'entrée de l'établissement.

Pros:

Very unique property, all rooms are different. The location was perfect. It was within walking distance of town and the theaters.

Cons:

The single bed in my particular room was very uncomfortable. Took a long time to get hot water to our room.

Total, dirty ripoff, especially with the breakfast feature yanked and no cancellation available.
Pros:

We enjoyed the mattress.

Cons:

Everything. We booked this place because breakfast was included and we had to pay upfront with no cancellation policy. THEN they posted they were not serving breakfast anymore. Place was dirty, mould on bathroom shower walls and a cobweb and spiders in the bathroom. Comforter and chairs in the BR were ANCIENT, NO SPRINGS IN THE CHAIR AND THE COMFORTER AT LEAST 30 YEARS OLD. Many rooms were vacant and we felt we had been given the worst one in the place. Does not deserve Canadian Tourist 4.5 star sign!!!!
