I am a local travel guide in Hanoi. Although I did not personally stay at this hotel, my clients did, and we all agreed that it is a beautiful and elegant property. The decoration is tasteful, and the reception team was helpful, informative, and cheerful. However, my experience with the security team was extremely disappointing.
On May 26th, after I handed over my motorbike parking ticket, it took nearly 10 minutes for them to retrieve my bike from the basement. When the guard finally brought it out, he left it unattended on a sloped area and walked away without properly handing it over to me. As a result, the bike fell over to one side. Instead of apologizing, he showed little concern and immediately blamed the incident on a “weak kickstand.” As you can see in the photo, my clutch lever was badly bent and the mirror was scratched. When I calmly tried to discuss shared responsibility (including my own part), the guard denied everything and said: “We already took your bike out and put the stand down. If it fell, it’s just bad luck. You cannot claim anything from us.” To be clear, I did not overreact or try to exaggerate the situation for compensation. I simply wanted a fair and reasonable discussion about responsibility. Unfortunately, the staff’s attitude came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Another guard even stated that they would no longer accept sport bikes because they are “too heavy” to move in and out of the basement. This is quite surprising for a hotel of this standard. If there are restrictions, they should be clearly communicated (for example, with a visible sign), so guests and visitors can make alternative arrangements.
In summary, while the hotel itself is excellent in terms of design and front-desk service, the behavior and professionalism of the security team need serious improvement.

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay here. The hotel was spacious, airy, and clean, which suited my family perfectly. Thank you, Mr. Anh Trung, for helping me choose the most suitable room.
I will definitely come back here when I have the chance to visit Vietnam again.

Great location. Excellent facilities

This was our third stay at the Apricot Hotel. It is wonderfull having spent a day in the glorious madness of Hà Nội to return to the serenity of this hotel.

Its position next to Hoan Kiem lake places it perfectly next to all the action or a quiet stroll about. We now make a point of being here for the weekend, when the roads around the lake are closed.

The hotel itself is well appointed to the level expected. We appreciate the vast array of high quality artworks and the French colonial decor. The staff are well trained and by comparison quiet and reserved though always friendly. We always try to book an internal window room (access to natural light via the atrium). As there is still construction occurring next door, getting an external window is pointless.

We only ever eat breakfast here. It is a lovely and varied spread of local, eastern and western options. These vary daily and provide us the opportunity try local dishes.

Ou room view was the side of the building, the air conditioning units? were so noisy it kept us awake, the pillows were so old & lumpy, the room smelt funny & certainly didn’t help my asthma, the shower temperature was only warm even on the hottest setting, we were near the lift so it as noisy as well. Breakfast was generous although strangely set out & no one explained the areas as they were all spread around. The foyer looks so elegant it’s just a huge pity it doesn’t flow into the rooms.

We stayed here twice on our 3 week trip through Vietnam and Cambodia. It was our favorite hotel in Vietnam. The hotel is beautiful, our rooms were very nice and comfortable and had a view of the lake, which was a hub of activity. Sunrise walks and exercise is a very popular activity, with music and large groups exercising all around the lake through early morning. Any direction you go from the hotel brings busy shopping and living all around. Great restaurants are within walking distance, the breakfast buffet at the hotel is amazing!
