Review Highlights

Pros:
Excellent location near Hauptbahnhof, Messe, shopping and public transport
Clean rooms and modern bathrooms
Good breakfast options
Comfortable beds and well-appointed rooms (TV, balcony mentioned)
Good value for some guests
Cons:
Recurring defective/non-working air conditioning during hot weather
Rooms became uncomfortably hot; some guests cancelled because of this
Worn/sagging mattresses and noisy corridor doors
Isolated reports of unfriendly reception staff and refund/booking issues
Some rooms/windows do not fully darken

Categories

Cleanliness
9.5
Multiple guests explicitly noted the property and rooms were clean (e.g., 'the property was clean', 'Alles war sauber', 'Zentral / sauber').
Service
7.5
Mixed reports: a relaxed reception experience was mentioned by some, but others reported an unwelcoming or rude receptionist and that goodwill/assistance required asking ('kulanz nur nach Nachfrage').
Location
10
Consistently praised for proximity to Hauptbahnhof, Messe, shopping and bus links; many called it convenient and well-located.
Room Quality
6
Several strong negatives: persistent/defective air conditioning during high temperatures, very hot rooms, sagging mattresses and noisy doors; positives (large TV, balcony, modern bathroom) are outweighed by comfort issues.
Amenities
7.3
Mixed: breakfast and modern bathrooms noted positively, good in-room features (TV, balcony), but recurring major issue with air conditioning reduces the amenity score.
Value for Money
8.6
Mixed-to-positive: some guests explicitly said 'value for money is perfect', while others felt it was expensive for the level of hospitality — overall slightly above the target.
Food and Beverage
8.8
Breakfast frequently praised ('really top', 'good choice'); a few described it as average but generally positive.
Overall Experience
9.5
Overall stays were described as positive and convenient for short stays; however, the repeated AC failures during hot weather and isolated service/refund issues did negatively affect some guests' experiences.
