Staff were nice
First appearances were very disappointing....the front door has brass panels that are all chipped and worn. The rest of the brass looked as if it was never polished.
We were in rooms 109/110 which looked directly into another wing of the hotel. This was separated by a concrete passage which was full of rubbish. There was no natural light in the rooms and window sills full of cobwebs and leaves
The bathroom has a soap dispenser placed about a foot away from sink. There were no extras like face clothes body lotion etc.
The timber floor in the dining room was dull and sticky. One has to wonder how the hotel earned 4 stars...based on our experience...
Good location for us. Friendly and efficient staff. Good food
Nothing
I regularly visit the Ardboyne because of its friendly and welcoming vibe. The food is always great, and the staff are unfailing helpful and professional.
Not as clean as previous stays
After first night
Our coffee machine and water was taking out of the room.
Staff very much ignored us
Would not recommend at all. We were in Rooms 109/110 where it looks directly across to another extension. In between is a stone coridoor full of rubbish as was our window sills - leaves, cobwebs etc.
TV remote control was not working.Advertised were 'toileteries in bathroom '-But all that was provided wasa soap despenser a foot away from wash basin, no face cloth, no moisturiser.
Front door is a DISGRACE - brass all peeling and tarnished. Dining room floor dirty looking and sticky.
A great overnight stay - all good.
Nice hotel, service was very good! They tried really hard to make sure you were happy. The room was nice but a little dated, chairs dirty, carpet showing wear. Locate was good for a jumping off point to see the castle of Trim, hills of Tara etc.
Some of the things were just not as clean as I would have preferred. Breakfast one day was terrible and excellent the next!
Location, room, amenities all top rated.
None.
Beautiful facilities. Lovely garden to have a drink in the sun in.
It was my partners birthday and the staff truly made them feel special. The balloons, surprise cake and note were truly thoughtful and beautiful.

Nice location but few roudies but it was a Saturday night so perhaps nice levels are to be expected, but i would stay again
Good location, hotel clean and staff very good.Facilities were excellent and food also was nice. Price was very reasonable.
Very nosey hotel if there is a function going on. Room window overlooks the smoking area. All night people in out smoking talking loud playing music unable to sleep
Its the staff that make this hotel what it is just amazing..they will go out of their way to please you nothing is a problem .great atmosphere feel like your visiting a friend the team .go above and beyond ..
We attended the hotels wedding fair today and met with the wedding planner Jo, she was so helpful and knowledgeable.
We also met the deputy manager who was very friendly and informative.
We spoke to Tina from the wedding band, Twist of Faith who was so helpful, she really understood what we were looking for on our special day.
Bernadette who looks after the wedding cake was lovely her samples were devine, Veronica the celebrant was really informative and explained everything very clearly to us
The flower lady and photographer were equally pleasant to deal with.
The venue looked fantastic as did the room that the service would be held in.
We had planned to view other venues but we were so impressed with Jo, her enthusiasm, knowledge and assurance that our day would be perfect that we booked our wedding with Jo and the team in The Ardboyne before we left.
It was definitely a great experience and I will happily write a review post our wedding next year but from what we have both seen today I would recommend the venue very highly.
Staff very friendly and efficient.
