Overpriced and outdated
Pros:

This hotel is way overpriced, outdated and not that that clean. My room was smelly, no soap, uncomfortable bed. They charged me 30 for a burger fries and a beer and the burger was ok. I can’t believe I was charged for parking? This hotel is not in a downtown location. Plus they allow people to smoke right in front and lobby just stinks on cigarettes. I was not pleased with my experience. Can’t believe my bill was almost $290! For what? A boring, outdated holiday inn Room with a burger, fries and a beer. I come to Bismarck once a quarter, I’ll be staying elsewhere

I showed up at 2 AM. They couldn’t check me until 2:30 AM because the printer was down. I was then woken up at 5:20 AM b

I won't stay at Holiday Inn again.
Cons:

They didn't clean the room. Shortage of creamer for coffee in the lobby. The room was not very clean. Only one cream and sugar packet for coffee in room.

Poor customer care.
Pros:

We booked a one night stay but on arrival discovered that our booking was for the previous night. The desk clerk advised that we had been charged as a no show and asked if we would like to book for that night which we did. We asked if she could offer a reduction as a gesture of good will since we had made a genuine mistake. She appeared unsympathetic but said she would speak with her manager.
Next morning on check out, we spoke with a different desk clerk who confirmed that we had been charged the full amount for both nights - in fact, $5.00 per night above the booked rate. We repeated how the error had occured and again asked if any good will gesture could be made by the hotel. She agreed to email me later in the day with her managers decision - needless to say that didn't happen.
As a long standing IHG member, I would have expected at least some reward points as a gesture of good will. However, it seems that IHG priorities greed over customs care.

Don’t stay here
Pros:

Nothing, didn’t stay there . So called manager decided to cancel our reservations while we were on the road without a phone call! She says she called the 3rd party who we booked through and informed them. I feel a good manager would have called the customer directly.

She says they were overbooked, even though we booked 5 months on advance. Was she sympathetic? NO !! She was a complete jerk!!!

the breakfast was dissapointing. It was a buffet but you could only have scrambled egg. no other egg options. Also only had the option of bacon on one morning. A very dissapointing buffet.

Cons:

They should of stuck to the original breakfast menu. I booked the hotel and paid for breakfast due to the menu not what was provided when i arrived at the hotel. apparently Holiday Inn changed to the buffet breakfast a couple of weeks before my trip. All menu's still had an a la carte breakfast available

Just the basics
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However, staff was scarce (usually outside smoking), very strong smells in elevators and rooms and $12.99 for breakfast. Expensive for what you get.

We will not be staying there again.
Pros:

Bed was comfy.

Cons:

There were not enough towels, normally there are shower caps and plastic laundry bag. There were no sheets left in the room for the pull out couch and when we wet to ask for them the staff was not friendly at all
It felt like the room was left unfinished
