Good value and friendly staff. Had a good sleep in a comfortable room on comfy bed convenient location
Pros:

Comfortable beds, spacious room. Some upgrades complete. Breakfast included and staff very friendly and very helpful.

Cons:

Exterior needs to be redone and carpet in room. They are working on things, but still lots left inside and out to fix up/renew. We were a bit worried looking at exterior, but room was good.

Smithers quick stay
Pros:

The location right off the Hwy was great and close to Downtown.

Cons:

The room had two beds but I didn't realize that the second bed was super narrow, I called it my coffin 😁

Our room was nice, but the rest of the hotel was extremely questionable
Pros:

The property was unappealing, I had never stayed there before, and was nervous when I pulled up and saw it, the interior was extremely unappealing. All that aside, the room they put us in was nice, clean and comfortable. Unlike the rest of the property.

They did have a room for pet availability

Cons:

Upon arrival the entrance had a weird smell. The key card machine didn't work for at least the 1st hr we were there. They are doing renovations, which seem hurried or done cheaply. The windows had lots of overspray (can see where the tape was). The peep hole on the door was meant for someone over 6 ft, along with the towel hooks on the back of the bathroom room. The shower head on the other hand is meant for short people. The bathroom mirror was strange and you could see where the previous light and mirror were hung. The room did have newer carpet and clean linens. Could tell where most people have slept on the bed. For the value it was ok. Some of the hallway floor sounded hollow.

I had booked a Best Western on the fact it is a reliable and clean updated venue. When we were pulling up to the BW here
I was completely shocked as we had stay here before when it was the Capri and it was very poor and dirty, now is the BW.
First impression not much change, went in to check the room, which had been slightly renovated, The bed was new and clean.
The rest of the hotel, hallways , their laundry room was very dirty. Breakfast poor.

I would have thought to advertise or get a BW franchise they would have to pass some kind of inspection.

Pros:

Comfortable beds .Good blinds/ dark room . Great parking .Quiet location on edge of town but easily walkable to all restaurants etc. Included breakfast (05.50 until 0900) worked v well for early fishing trips.
Staff all very helpful .
Rooms and bathrooms spotless. Was great to have laundry facilities .

Cons:

Poor initial impression as corridor carpets very stained and shabby and off putting .We know renovations are ongoing .
Would have liked maybe a few benches/ seats outside property to take a coffee out and sit to enjoy fantastic mountain scenery from hotel
