Thank you as he made the trip so much more pleasant
From the moment I arrived at the Art Hotel in Denver, I was greeted with warm hospitality on the 1st floor along with a glass of champagne & Hors d'oeuvres from the General Manager & his leadership team! This experience brought class with an upscale & impressive elegance as I was taken by the artwork throughout the hotel! The lit fireplace caught my eye immediately as I exited the elevator as the space was open & truly had an ambiance to it. I was drawn to the patio to enjoy the afternoon of fresh Denver cool air with cocktails & additional rounds of Hors d'oeuvres! We truly enjoyed attending the vendor showcase as the hallways were lined with multiple food offerings & many of industry leaders showcasing their products & brands! The hotel provided an artistic charm, event space & elevated food/Beverage options, along with the staff providing a perfect blend of hospitality that were both outstanding and welcoming! This is a must visit destination when you are in the city of Denver!
The property is beautiful and the staff are incredible!
Checked in 3/6, room 911 and it was extremely warm in there. It was snowing so we through they just had the heater on for all the rooms. Turned the AC on and had been out for the majority of the day. Came back to the room around 10pm and it was extremely hot, blowing hot air. I believe the room was around 78°. That night I woke up about 4 times drenched in sweat. 3/7 I called the front desk and told them about the AC blowing hot air and they said they’d send someone up. Went out for the day and returned around 2pm and the room was extremely hot. I went downstairs to inform the front desk the room was still hot and the maintenance man overhead and informed me & the front desk person that the whole 9th floor AC was broken including the restaurant. The front desk person had no idea of the AC issue and the maintenance man advised 30-40 for repairs. I returned back to my room and maybe 3 hours later the maintenance man came to my room and informed us that there would be no repairs made because it was night time and stated we should switch rooms. He said he would take of that for us and gave us a chocolate for the inconvenience. We had to pack everything (3 night stay) and switch 8pm.
We got placed into a suite and while it was nice it was hot, the tub water wouldn’t get warm, the shower handle was broke and the hand held shower wouldn’t turn on. 3/8 we spent most of the day in the hotel room as I was feeling sick, possibly from the hot room and the fact I’ve never been in such altitude. We spent the whole day with the door opened and around 5pm I called the front desk to inform them about the hot room. They said they would send someone up. I left to dinner around 6:30, returned by 8pm and the room was at 76°. I reached out via the chat and front desk said that the whole buildings AC was broken and they’re making repairs. They apologized for lack of communication and said repairs are underway. I asked for updates due to me, the customer having to reach out continuously. Front desk offered a fan which we happily took because it was SO hot. Slept with the balcony door open for airflow & once again a sleepless night. Between the heat, and cars racing outside we slept maybe 4 hours. 3/9 I asked for a late check out due to the lack of sleep and they did allow a 2pm check out. The room was still extremely hot and now we have a suite where we had to move the fan from the bedroom, to the bathroom. We had to keep the AC off as it was only blowing hot air. At check out when asked about our stay I did say it was horrible and I was offered credit.
The staff were extremely friendly but the lack of communication was unreasonable. I’m sure I wasn’t the only person complaining about the hot room so why not take initiative? They had fans to offer, rooms with balconies so why not accommodate before having to reach out multiple times? I believe they handled the situation at hand poorly and it was a really big damper on my stay. I would not be coming back to this hotel nor recommending it.
A beautiful and clean hotel. The view of the art museum and mountains from my window was very nice.
Terrific large shower and shower head. Very comfortable bed.
Expensive valet parking but the fastest car retrieval I've experienced from any hotel anywhere.
The dining room is beautiful but I wish they upped the quality of food a notch for dinner.
For breakfast, there were only about 6 tables for a couple servers to take care of. Unfortunately, my server saw me being seated and rather than offering water and coffee, slowly, but meticulously, cleared and cleaned another table.
After that, rather than come over, he slowly and meticulously cleaned a second table. Unfortunately for me again, a woman arrived and he attended her, than finally got to me. Wish he were more customer focused and trained for his job.
The breakfast itself was good.
Literally the best parking experience ever!
Good location! Hotel restaurant was absolutely delicious! Staff was very friendly!
Joey the parking attendant was incredibly professional, helpful and made the experience great. The hotel is a great location and having a welcoming person when you first arrive is very smart!
I was coming to take a pic of my car and Yousif was very nice and welcoming told us we had a couple of minuets but gave us more time then we needed. Very nice valet attend haven’t seen one in a while! Super cool lights seems like a nice overall hotel definitely planning to stay here next time I’m looking for a night to stay!
Ernesto (Ernie) at the Front Desk was Amazing.
Everything was great.
This hotel in the museum district does not have the personality of other curio collection hotels even in Denver. The location is great in terms of restaurants but it’s really just Hampton inn with modern pop art scattered about. Service was fine but nothing special. The hotel restaurant is solid but also lacking in personality.
The art collection is exceptional! The staff is friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff does an excellent job—the beds were comfy and smelled great! The hotel does need some maintenance like painting the outdoor signs; a THOROUGH cleaning; and small repairs of chipped furniture (especially the glass tabletop in the bar area and the broken fire pit on the deck). The restaurant was not memorable at all. I tried breakfast one morning and had apps in the afternoon. Overpriced food for the quality. I would skip the restaurant all together next time and stick to some of the local restaurants (great cookie place across the street and Union Station has some good fare). The outdoor deck was super cool for a nightcap.
We did not stay at the hotel; this is a review of their Thanksgiving buffet meal only, and it was extremely disappointing and overpriced. The food selection was extremely limited, with half being salads, cheeses, and other appetizer-related selections. Seafood was only shrimp and salmon. Meats were over-salted turkey, sliced ham in a chafing dish, bacon, and chicken sausage. It was as though somebody decided at the last minute that there weren't sufficient protein options so found two breakfast items to add. Side dishes were only a whipped sweet potato dish, squash, green bean casserole, and stuffing. There was only a tiny area for desserts, and the pies tasted as though they were from a supermarket. There was an omelet station, but it was hidden in the back beside the dessert so you'd never know there was one until you went for dessert. Quality overall was definitely lacking, and the worst part of all was that we drank only the included soft drinks, no alcohol or anything extra, and our bill was $190!
I don’t understand all of the rave reviews. I’m staying here now and there isn’t anything extraordinary. The beds are decent, the location right by the museum is good, the art is a nice touch, and it’s clean.
However, there are also some things we really don’t like. The lobby area is small and not great for lounging around. The sinks in our bathroom: one wouldn’t plug to fill with water, and the other wouldn’t unplug to drain the water. My husband got on the floor under the sink and fixed them both. The coffee maker in our room makes a horrendous noise, and there is a strange noise seemingly caused by the air flow in the hallway. When we open the door, the sound stops, but when we close the door it starts again and is constant.
But the most disappointing was the restaurant, which we’d heard great things about. All of the food was mediocre. The burrata was bland and paired with a meager little pile of crostini. The butternut squash pasta had an odd taste and was merely a small scoop of noodles with sauce, and nothing else, for $28. Everything was plated as if my 12-year-old nephew was in the kitchen, just tossing things slap dash onto plates. The whole experience just didn’t live up to the hype and cost double what it should have.
The room we had was fine, but the shower didn’t work. The manager didn’t apologize but treated us arrogantly even though we were polite to him. His solution was to take $20 off the bill, as if a functional shower was worth $20 to us.
We won’t go there again.
The restaurant is also poor, and it’s freezing at breakfast time. This hotel simply doesn’t seem to take pride in having things work right for its customers.
ADA room: The handle of the toilet broke off. Despite two requests to have it fixed, nothing was done. Had to plunge my hand into the water tank to flush. Light in hallway out. Poor lighting over desk, but housekeeping moved a floor lamp for me. Shower head and hand held shower did not work properly.
Repairs should have been made to the toilet. For an ADA room, poor lighting is unacceptable. Many disabled people are older and eyesight is not as good. Shower heads should function independently, not at the same time. A proper lamp should be at the desk. Staff were unresponsive to requests for assistance. Entrance has only parking valet, no assistance. Lobby had only one person on desk; no one to assist.
I recently stayed at The ART Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton through Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts and initially experienced a few issues at check-in and with missed benefits. However, Manager Ernesto Tovar personally stepped in and completely turned the situation around. His professionalism, communication, and willingness to take ownership were outstanding. He resolved everything promptly, offered a fair resolution, and went above and beyond to ensure I left satisfied.
I also want to recognize Jillian, the bartender, who delivered genuinely warm and attentive service. She was personable, professional, and made my time at the bar feel welcoming and memorable — an excellent reflection of Hilton hospitality.
Both Ernesto and Jillian demonstrated the kind of care and integrity that make a huge difference in the guest experience. Because of them, I’ll absolutely return to this property and recommend it to others.
