The Bellafonte - Luxury Oceanfront Hotel

Unfortunately, the room we booked was advertised as a "garden room" but it faced the parking lot and a noisy, dusty, and busy main road that is active all night long.

The bellafonte is the most beautiful, welcoming resort I’ve ever been to. The rooms are spacious, well equipped for everything you would need away from home. If you want a quiet, calm, beautiful resort, this is the place to be!

Simply amazing. Every minute of it. I cannot impress enough how great Armanda was. She was highly attentive, kind, and almost intuitive in our wants, needs, or plans for the day. We gave her the reigns to choose our foods, our daily activities, and the sites. While this may be cumbersome and annoying to some, Armanda seemed elated at the task, and approached each request with the same genuine exuberance. Armanda was truly a beacon, and focal point of our trip, that truly made all the difference in our stay.

We are thankful for the helpfulness of the staff, especially Armanda. She went above and beyond assisting us with activities, locating shopping areas, recommending restaurants and even going as far as arraigning a food delivery when a lot of restaurants were closed. The room was clean, spacious and had all we needed for our stay. The ocean view was great. The patio area outside the room was large and useful for morning coffee and afternoon drinks. The area is nice and quiet and it truly feels like paradise.

This is a lovely small collection of individually owned apartments, making up a hotel. The service from the front desk was excellent. Anything we needed they took care of. Each apartment is decorated by the owner, so look at all the choices before you decide. I took advantage of the free yoga class on the pier, which was excellent. The staff hosted a little cocktail party and we enjoyed meeting other travelers.

Best staff and accommodations on the island… don’t want to return home

The Bellafonte is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating; we particularly appreciated the airport pickup/drop-off, the car that was left at the hotel for our use and then picked up at the end of our stay (no standing in car rental lines at the airport!), and the restaurant recommendations and advance reservations. Armanda and Callka were particularly kind and helpful. The room had everything we needed, although we had to get a little creative finding storage for our giant gear bag (it eventually just resided in a corner of the living room, as the bedroom was full of bed and the bag was too wide for the closet). We also used the shelves in the living room for the drinks and snacks we bought at the grocery store, because the kitchen was well equipped with dishware and appliances but had no space for food storage, and the fridge was a compact under-counter model (okay for soft drink cans, not so much for 1-liter bottles). These minor things were more than outweighed by the convenience of the location and the sense of joy and peace that beautiful ocean view gave us. Highly recommended!

We just returned from an extraordinary stay at the Bellafonte Hotel in Bonaire. To say that it was a perfect spot for us is an understatement. From the location to the stylishness to the staff to the on-site snorkeling, etc., etc., it was impeccable start to finish.

The hotel is a small, lovely boutique hotel with only 22 units and sits directly on the water. It has a private pier which had better and easier snorkeling than any of the other locations we visited. There is nothing quite like waking up to a gorgeous sunrise, sipping coffee while watching the seagulls soar from our private balcony, and then going out to the private pier and taking a morning snorkel. The reef by the hotel has a greater variety of fish than any other place we found, and the convenience cannot be described!

Every single member of the staff was totally impressive. They are all young, charming, enthusiastic and delightful in every way. All are from the Netherlands with the exception of the delightfully energetic and thoroughly adorable Armanda, who is from Bonaire.

The location of the hotel is absolutely unbeatable. It is far enough away from town to escape the noise, hustle bustle, and cruise ship crowd, but close enough to go in anytime (about a 5-10 minute drive) for excellent dining and shopping. Though the Bellafonte does not have a restaurant on site, they partner with the excellent Windsock Restaurant right next door, and there are other wonderful restaurants very close by.

This post cannot adequately capture the stunning magic of the Bellafonte. It is a total delight in every single way, and when we sadly checked out, we made a reservation for the same dates next year. It truly is paradise on earth!

I keep coming back to The Bellafonte. It's a breath taking place, superb location. The concept is quite unique: stay in fully equipped apartments with service level of a boutique luxury hotel. Carlijn and her staff go the extra mile to make each stay memorable. Snorkel or dive straight from the private pier! See you next year!

The unit was wonderful. Very spacious with a well stocked kitchen. Nice living room and the bed was very comfortable. It had a gray view of the water. We enjoyed snorkeling off the dock and relaxing by the small pool. Also liked the small porch with table and fans. The place to wash your gear was great along with rack to drip dry. Actually liked being on the ground floor. The resort is very quiet. They provided a snack by the dock in the afternoon and had a happy hour one evening. Would like them to add a rack in the shower for razor, shampoo etc. Also sometimes it was difficult to get out of the resort and to park. Overall excellent experience!

Our stay at the Bellafonte was exceptional. The staff was so welcoming and helpful, anticipating our every need. Armanda in particular was a super star. The room was a great combination of functional with everything you need to prepare meals and luxury with a dreamy bed and great views. The bustling tourist area is a short drive and getting to the airport takes minutes. The absolute best part is the beautiful dock for sunbathing, relaxing and jumping into the ocean to cool off or snorkel. We will most definitely be back!

We love Bellefonte! The staff are always so friendly and helpful and professional. It's absolutely beautiful. We have stayed here many times and we will continue to come here. We love Belafonte! We love Bellefonte. They even have a happy hour where the guests can mingle and enjoy wine and soft drinks.

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the front desk girl. She was extremely polite and very helpful and made us feel quite comfortable.
She explained everything to us about the venue and escorted us to our room.
She gave us helpful tips on where to go and some of the best restaurants to visit.
The room was beyond our expectations and we were very impressed and pleased with the location.
The hotel is definitely worth it and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. This boutique waterfront hotel is immaculate, with beautiful views that never got old. The staff were genuinely attentive and made us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. The pier offers the ability to SCUBA, snorkel, sun yourself or have great conversations with other travels who seem to love the place as much as we did.
Cant wait to return!
