Location
Cleanliness
The hotel is conveniently located in Olympic Park and was mostly clean and well presented. The staff were helpful and the onsite parking is good.
$40 per day is pretty steep for the parking and to be fair the breakfast is pretty ordinary. The rooms are nothing flash but I guess that is why it's Ibis budget.
Not a single thing I liked.
The staff were rude and unhelpful, didn’t answer the reception phone, the room was tiny and unclean with a large hole in the wall next to the bed…filled with rubbish.
We called the hotel about 6 times over three days before stay and the phone wasn’t answered once. When we checked in, we again asked for a cot and they said they’d drop one in the room. When we got back at 10pm, there was no cot. We asked again at reception and they then said “we don’t have cots here”.
They also price gouged for the Easter show -$400 for a “budget” hotel.
Location, and the room was convenient , loved that the dairy shop.was.nearby also, bought out needs from there
Parking, checked when booking , but paid $40 as requested upon arrival
The location
The staff
It did the job, but was rather basic. Not the cleanest room we've stayed in and accom in SOP can be kinda pricey so would have hoped for a bit better there.
The customer service wasn't fantastic. We left an item there and it has been hugely challenging to get it back. We will eventually but the customer service team have not been hugely helpful with this at all and still haven't called back as promised some weeks later. It is an item of significant value as well - which belongs to a child with special needs who is rather upset about this.
