Bilal and his team accommodated every request to make my 4 night stay at the Rex smooth and memorable. Harry went above and beyond on several occasions. Excellent service. Excellent location. Clean rooms. The best shower! Will book again when in Manchester.

I emailed the hotel before and the responses and communication also did feel five star - they didn’t even get my name correct in their reply.
I feel since the takeover from the Leonardo, it has lost its edge as being a top Manchester hotel.
I felt compelled to write a review of appreciation relating to Jason the concierge of the Rex Hotel In Manchester.
We had inadvertently walked into the hotel regarding a purchase we required, and discovered we had entered the wrong establishment.
Instead of pointing us in the right direction, Jason went out of his way to not only take us to the correct place, but introduced us to a member of staff who resolved our issue.
Wonderful courtesy and willingness to go the extra mile.

I really enjoyed how friendly and attentive all the staff were, they made this stay very pleasant. Concierge were really helpful throughout and if they didn’t have what was needed they had very good recommendations for where it could be found. The staff made the check in progress super easy to understand. The location of the hotel is fab as well because everything is in walking distance. The room was very aesthetically pleasing and the free cookies were a lovely added touch.
The room we stayed in smelt a little like cigarette smoke and we were unable to open the windows to help with ventilation. The shower seemed to do this thing where after you used it and turned it off, enough water fell out of it that you could have had another shower - it was very noisy. Also after getting the room cleaned in the morning I noticed that my own personal towel from home had been taken.

The room was nice and spacious as was the bathroom. the bed was comfortable and although the hotel is centrally located it was remarkably quiet in terms of noise. The breakfast was excellent in terms of presentation and taste.
