What an amazing, unforgettable place to stay, everything we read in previous reviews is true. From the moment you arrive you get the sense that you are going to be very well looked after and the hospitality that Nikos, Angela and Giulio provide is second to none. They are clearly passionate in ensuring every single guest has the best individually tailored experience possible. They will plan and book anything you need. The breakfasts are on another level. We had an amazing week and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to any one . We would also recommend trying the collection of drinks provided in the room, a couple that we had never heard of soon became our go to aperitif before going out in the evening.
感觉非常好,房东非常热情周到细致,让人感觉到了家的温暖,很贴心,感谢主人让我们有了一次非常愉快的旅行!一切都很完美!

Amazing stay in a unique location, with all the 5* bells and whistles as advertised. The rave reviews really are true…. We were very fortunate to also receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite and an extra day of access due to a very late flight home.
Nikos and Angela are superb hosts full of genuine advice and suggestions that make all aspects of your holiday better. Julia is also amazing, super attentive and charming, making her own supplementary recommendations which were excellent.
Book in for as long as you can, relax and let professionals take care of you.
First basics out of the way, not the cheapest stay but worth every euro, value for money. All areas sparklingly clean. Bedrooms and bathrooms immaculate with a great selection of toiletries, towels etc. The hotel is very aware of protecting the environment, water conservation on a small island etc. and respected our request not to change bed linen, towels etc on a daily basis.! I cannot speak more highly of all aspects this wonderful hotel. Hotel positioned within easy access to all points of interest in Rhodes Town and further afield. On entry to the hotel you are immediately aware that you have selected a beautifully appointed hotel with welcoming experienced staff ready to provide a relaxed and comfortable stay. Not done your homework on what to see, where to go, no worries, Nikos provides detailed information on the island he and his wife Angela love. Looking at the prompts on writing a revue, beautiful well appointed rooms, (and we secured a guided tour, two nosey sisters!) general areas comfortable, tastefully decorated, gorgeous enclosed courtyard, enjoy the most delicious breakfast there. Don’t miss Angela’s homemade Lemon and Pink Pepper conserve. Service and amenities, how about a help yourself drinks selection accessible on your return after an evening relaxing in any of the many restaurants. Customer care, just everything, including on a slightly chilly day the loan of a beautiful cashmere and silk pashmina to ensure this guests comfort. Yes, I am an unashamed fan of Nikos, Angela and their team, and I hope to pay a return visit.

Kókkini Porta Rossa is an absolute gem! The hotel itself is a work of art with so many intricate details, a subtle, nuanced style, amazing collections that you can just wander around look at and you somehow feel like you are in a museum and your own home at the same time. Everything is so accessible it's just fun. Nikos and Angela are so welcoming and you immediately feel comfortable with them. From arranging my day trip to Symi, helping me find a guide for my full day tour of Rhodes, locating a local bicycle shop so I could have a great ride they were there for everything but never intrusive, just always helpful and friendly.
The rooms, ah the rooms! Just like the hotel itself works of art but also done in a way that you feel right at home. I often stay in larger chains with cookie cutter rooms, but occasionally stay at smaller boutique hotels, and honestly this was one of, if not the nicest accommodations I have ever had regardless of size. Sure big hotels can have more things like spas, etc, but the feel and experience at Kókkini Porta Rossa is unparalleled. Angela's homemade jams (yum!) breakfasts that are too delicious to describe with all sorts of little touches (bee pollen!?!) I was so impressed.
The location in the old town is perfect, close enough for a short walk to the heart of it but just a little bit away so you are not in the constant hustle and bustle of tourists.
Stay here for a truly magnificent experience that you will cherish for years to come.
Quite simply perfection! A beautifully restored medieval building filled with beautiful things! Nikos and Angela are highly professional hoteliers and anticipate your every need before you’ve thought of it yourself! Every aspect of the hotel is of the highest standard. Having stayed in a number of good boutique hotels, this stands out above the rest. Not wanting to sound gushing but this was as much an experience as a first class hotel.
Stayed at Kokkini Porta Rossa for three nights as the start to our trip to Greece, and it could not have been more lovely. The amount of thought that Nikos, Angela and their team have put into every detail really shines through, from the customizable home-cooked breakfasts to the carefully curated books, drinks and other amenities in the rooms to the unique and charming character of each space. We loved having breakfast in the garden each day including Angela's exceptional cooking. Nikos was also an admirable host who took the time to recommend restaurants and guides and to help us curate our journey. We were particularly impressed at the customized itineraries and recommendations, including a dedicated app, that he and the team put together for us - really enabling us to get the most out of Rhodes Old Town in a limited time. The location was also quite convenient to everything we wanted to see.
Genuinely this may have been the best and most thoughtful hotel I have ever stayed at, both in terms of how it was designed and also in terms of the day-to-day friendly hospitality. Thank you!
We stayed at Kokkini Port Rossa about six months ago and wrote a review at that time, but feel the need to write again. This may seem odd, but I don't think a day has gone by since our visit that I haven't had fond memories of our time there.
Everything you've read about the hotel being well appointed, the delicious breakfasts, great quiet location, etc. are true. But what stays so fondly with me after this much time are my memories of the family and staff. Nikos, Angela, Paris and Guilia made us feel so embraced and cared for, like they really wanted our visit to Rhodes to be the best it could be. They are absolutely elegant hosts.
Never has a hotel lingered in my heart like Kokkini Porto Rossa.
I hope you stay there and have the same experience.
We had a lovely time at the Kokkini Porta Rossa. It's a lovely suite only hotel in the Medieval city of Rhodes. We stayed in Deniz and our 2 children stayed in Gülbin. The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and very spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the main road and the city wall. It was a nice place to sit and people watch. Our children loved their suite too. The rooms were very well insulated and quiet. The beds were comfortable. I loved that it did not feel like a hotel but rather like a very upscale bed and breakfast. They provided fruits, snacks drinks and a stellar breakfast service.
There's a delightful walled garden where you can sit for breakfast (and at other times too).
The hosts were so helpful. We had just 3 days and they helped us plan our activities. Nikos gave excellent suggestions for dining options and shopping too. The tablets they provide are a stroke of genius.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Nikos, Angela and their son Paris were the most generous and caring hosts. They go out of their way to ensure you have exactly the kind of experience on Rhodes that you want, relaxing or active, helping you plan each day. The rooms are exquisite and comfortable. And we haven’t mentioned the extraordinary home-cooked breakfasts! We were sent home with a jar of our favourite jam, from the selection offered each morning.
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Every little thing is catered for, the service was perfect, wonderful location and charming well informed owners - who have their own app suggesting places to visit. Wonderful breakfast. Cannot praise them to highly. Try it for yourselves and see!
Our stay at Kókkini Porta Rossa was truly memorable. The property is beautiful, warm, and full of character, and the hospitality made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the owner introducing me to Metaxa 12 Stars, which made the experience feel personal and distinctly Greek. The location in Rhodes Old Town was also perfect, close to everything yet still peaceful and special. We would gladly stay there again.
Excellent location, cleanliness, noise level, atmosphere, sincerity of Owners and Staff (Julia). Excellent amenities. Hotel exceeded our expectations with recommended experiences, personalized maps and afternoon snacks and beverages. Rooms were spacious with many amenities. Nikos recommended excellent restaurants and ice cream shop.
Angela, Nikos and Julie are personable, friendly and eager to help.

Kokkini Porta Rossa was one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in. The building is so beautiful and tastefully decorated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the lobby areas are welcoming and relaxing.
But the best part of this staff was the owners and the staff. They were welcoming, friendly, helpful -- lovely people!
The breakfast each morning was an experience in itself - several courses of homemade deliciousness! What a treat to start each day this way.
We had a great trip to Rhodes, due largely to our choice of hotel! We loved the space itself, but what made our stay so special were the hosts, Nikos and Angela, and their amazing staff. Nikos provided us with a recommended day’s itinerary each morning, including the best sights and restaurants. Staying inside the medieval walled Old Town made our trip memorable!
I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone visiting Rhodes.
Nikos, his family and colleagues provide a wonderful Greek experience. Within the Old Town and few a few minutes walk from the wonders of Rhodes Old Town; nearby restaurants, bars, museums and this wonderful hotel make Rhodes town our favourite town on this beautiful Greek island
Excellent staying. The owners are very caring, lovers of details and provide you of a very useful digital map with lots of resources.
We had a wonderful stay ! We came twice and the two suites we had were vast, decorated with personality and attention to detail that makes you feel comfortable and experience what makes Rhodes unique.
Nicos and Angela are perfect hosts, and all the team is lovely and considerate. Breakfast is also quite an experience, savory and authentic.
In a place like Rhodes, with lots of touristy spots, having the curated advice and thoughtful suggestions of our hosts, as well as the app are definitely something that drastically changed our travel. Thanks to their taste and knowledge, we could not have had a better stay and experience of the island and city !
We felt so fortunate to discover Kókkini Porta Rossa. This intimate boutique hotel was elegant, quiet and so perfectly welcoming, it made our visit to old town Rhodes as perfect as it could be. Nikos and Angela saw to our every need from breakfast to planning each day of touring the old town and the island as well. We could go on and on about the eclectic and elegant decor, son Paris playing the piano, complementary amenities , creative and seasonal breakfast options and Julia's lovely service, but the bottom line is that this was probably one of our favorite stays ever. It's been weeks and I still think back fondly of it. Treat yourself, you won't be sorry.
Exceptional !
A really lovely hotel attached to the medieval walls. There was remarkable attention to detail to ensure that guests have everything that they need. Guidance on what to see and restaurants to visit was first class and much appreciated. A tablet to show directions is even provided. The breakfasts were amazing…Highly recommended !
