Spectacular!
Pros:

We were welcomed warmly by the extremely friendly staff, got a fresh beverage upon arrival and were immediately blown away by the breathtaking view on the lagune. We even got a free room upgrade, which totally suprised us!
The access to the lagoon as well as the amazing pool are the star features of this accommodation!

The first evening we even got the chance to have dinner on the ponton on the lagune, which is definitely a must do!
The food was amazing and the service was fabulous!

We want to thank Puerta del Cielo Hotel Origin Bacalar and its team for the amazing stay! We would very much like to come back in the future!
A definite recommendation for everyone wanting to visit Bacalar!

Pros:

L’emplacement au bord de la lagune est magnifique, avec un accès direct pour se baigner. La vue est superbe et la baignoire dans la chambre est très agréable après une journée de visite.

Cons:

L’hôtel est assez éloigné du centre, une voiture ou un taxi est indispensable. Le lit était plus petit que prévu (140 cm alors que l’annonce indiquait un grand lit double). Il n’y avait pas de réfrigérateur dans la chambre, le coffre-fort ne fonctionnait pas, et nous avons été réveillés très tôt le matin ainsi que tard le soir par des déplacements de mobilier sur la terrasse. Enfin, le petit-déjeuner était décevant, notamment les fruits qui manquaient de goût.

Tout simplement fabuleux!!!!
Pros:

J'ai tout simplement tout aimé ! Cet endroit est magnifique et dégage une énergie incroyable. Dès qu'on y entre, on ressent une atmosphère à la fois vibrante, apaisante et chaleureuse.
Malgré la pluie, j'y ai passé un séjour mémorable. J'ai adoré profiter de la piscine sous la pluie, mais le moment le plus magique a été de me détendre dans la baignoire sur la terrasse, le soir, en maillot de bain, entourée de bougies... C'était tout simplement enivrant.
Le cocktail de bienvenue était délicieux, tout comme les petits gâteaux qui l'accompagnaient une fois arrivés en chambre… un vrai régal !
Et la cuisine… un véritable 10/10 ! Félicitations au chef, tout était exceptionnel.
L'établissement est petit, mais c'est justement ce qui fait son charme. C'est un lieu intime, empreint de magie, où chaque détail est pensé avec soin.

Je recommande cet endroit sans la moindre hésitation. Une expérience que je n'oublierai pas.

You need a taxi to the town which was sometimes hard to get (taking 20+ minutes wait). There were no pool towels

"pequeños" detalles
Pros:

El hotel es muy bonito y se encuentra justo enfrente de la laguna, la habitación tiene buen tamaño y la decoración está bonita.

Cons:

La limpieza de la habitación pudiera ser mejor, el piso se sentía sucio y el sofá tenía varias manchas y marcas qué nunca ha sido lavado.
La distribución está curiosa porque la puerta dea regadera choca con el retrete y la parte de arriba de la regadera, para ser un cuarto con tanto espacio pudieron hacer el baño las grande. El baño no tiene ventana y por lo tanto se guarda la humedad y se nota por manchas en la pared.
La comida está ok pero se sentía demasiado grasosa, siempre qué pedíamos algo de comer nos molestaba el estómago. Los ingredientes de la comida no son de tan buena calidad.
Hagan lo que hagan no le pidan al staff tours ni mucho menos que les reserven un viaje en taxi, ya qué ellos se van a querer quedar con una "pequeña" comisión y ellos son los que les dictan los precios a los taxis (un taxi incluso nos lo confirmó). Así que si te ven billetudo te van a querer sacar hasta el último cebra centavo.
Por un viaje al aeropuerto, que directamente con un taxi o incluso Uber sale máximo en 500 pesos. Ellos querían que pagaríamos 800 pesos, vaya comisión de 300 pesos.
Muy sonrientes y todo pero solo le quieren sacar dinero a sus huéspedes. Qué decepcionante, no me imagino cuanto le cobrarán a un viajero extranjero.

Exceptional views, staff and service
Pros:

It was my first time in Bacalar and i have to say this hotel exceeded my expectations. As soon as we reached the hotel, we were given refreshments and the staff quickly
checked us in and transferred our luggages to our room.

Our room was the highlight as it was overlooking the stunningly blue lagoon. The hotel and the surrounding area was peaceful. The hotel service and staff were exceptional - anything we needed fixing was fixed in less than 30 minutes.

The food - wow!! You have to try their menu atleast once. The portions were big which was great value for money. We spent most of our time in the hotel, lounging in the pool area and ordering drinks and food. The chefs are incredible as they explain each and every dish - you can tell how much thought has gone into preparing each dish.

I had an absolutely amazing time in Bacalar, and one of the main highlights was this hotel. Highly recommended. Thank you to the whole team!

excelente estancia
Pros:

excelente menu, desayuno, comida y cena para no salir... mejor que en muchos restaurantes de la zona. Preferi consumir por el precio, elaboración y sabor de los platillos

Un buen lugar muy bonito

La atención es excelente, la comida también, es un bonito lugar

Estuve en dos habitaciones diferentes, una con vista a la laguna directamente, con un concepto de rocas que se ve espectacular, pero el baño esta del otro lado de la habitación, las cortinas no cierran bien, la televisión no tiene casi ángulo, para poder verla bien desde la cama, necesita otro tipo de brazo doble, la otra recamara excelente
